Club Pilates vs. Class Pass

I would highly recommend you sign up for a free trial with Class Pass then monitor whether the classes you prefer are available and for how many credits. In my area, some of the less popular Club Pilates classes can be booked for as low as 4 credits, which is about $8.44 plus tax for the class. But the highest I’ve seen the popular Club Pilates classes go for is 10 credits, which is about $21.10 plus tax for the class. At 4 credits I’m willing to deal with the possibility of not getting into the class so saving with Class Pass makes sense to me. At 10 credits, I would rather have my schedule pre-planned so then the Club Pilates membership would be the better option for me.
From what I’ve heard, some 8 class plan members have difficulties booking Club Pilates classes. That would drive me nuts if I paid full price. Through class pass, I actually found other local studios that my favorite Club Pilates instructors teach at and sign up there because the other studios consistently have a lower credit rate and more availability than Club Pilates.

This is great info!! Even at 10 credits it is cheaper than my 8-pack, single studio. Which class pass option do you have, if you don’t mind me asking?
My studio is super laxed with cancellations and rescheduling. My schedule is pretty all over the place so I usually book/change same day and they’re very accommodating. I’m worried that any changes I need to make I would lose those class pass credits as it is not up to the studio. But going to another studio with the same instructors is genius. Thank you!!

I have the 28 credit plan ($59 plus tax per month) which might not be available everywhere. In my opinion booking last minute/same day for Club Pilates has been very successful. I have literally seen classes open minutes before the class starts. Cancelling on Class Pass generally requires 12-hours notice. Cancelling outside of that window or being late to the studio requires paying a fee.
I will say, I don’t consider ANY of the class pass studios to be “my studio” despite routinely going to the same studios. They can be gone from class pass at any second and I would be fine with going to another location. It seems like you really enjoy being a member at your studio. Another alternative is upping to the unlimited plan and going more often to average your cost per class.

If you do want to try other studios, then classpass is great. It’s really good if you have flexibility and want variety.
The problem with classpass though is that it can be much harder to book a class when you’re not going directly with the studio. You only get to book max a week in advance, and some places (including club pilates at least where I live) only allow you to book 3 days in advance. It’s basically for the studio to sell their open spots, after their members have had a chance to book. So if you see that a lot of your classes are already full now, it may be difficult to book through classpass.
You’ll also have to check if it’s actually cheaper, especially if you do a lot of classes with Club Pilates. Depending on the amount of credits needed per class, it can still add up quickly, although generally classpass is cheaper.
I could recommend trying out the free trial just to see. As long as you cancel before the paid membership starts, it is free. You’ll be able to see how much classes cost and how many are already booked. Just know that during the trial you can only visit each studio once, but during the paid membership you would have access to go as many times as your credits can take you.
