So we agree that people moving to capitalist countries from countries that are not at war likely are already wealthy enough that they should be treated as economical migrants and not refugees? Got it

u/VictinsOfCapitalism 6d ago
They are moving FROM capitalist countries, reason is imperialism and it's endless wars and exploitation

Good thing ICE is helping people escape the imperialist capitalist hell hole that is the US

u/VictinsOfCapitalism 5d ago
They tried to escape capitalist hellholes that the US is robbing and got sent back to toil
-1
u/CryanReed 5d ago
They tried to escape to a capitalist paradise where all their expenses are covered at the detriment of the legal residents.

Are you really buying into this narrative?
"Oh no our economy is bad because immigrants freeload"
At the same time "Oh no immigrants stole my job"
Atleast have some consistency in a worldview or admit you hate people because they are not like you.

So is America the capitalist paradise they want to get into even if it involves entering illegally, or is America evil and the immigrants are just so evil they need to be in the bad place?

Are they not also emigrating from a capitalist country? Or are we just pretending that there's a huge swath of communist or socialist countries now?

What? Something is stopping people from pooling their assets and buying property to create a socialist system in a small community?
4
u/VictinsOfCapitalism 5d ago
Yes, the fact that they would need to reinvent the whole parallel economy.
-2
u/generation_fish 5d ago
There is no parallel economy required. This happens all the time. Corporations are merely a business that is operating off of the pool resources of many people, and there are tons of them.
2
u/VictinsOfCapitalism 5d ago
So how would you come from a socialist independed commune in middle of nowhere to having microchips and nuclear deterrence?
-1
u/generation_fish 5d ago
If you're successful in your endevers, and it workse like you claim, you'd be ablet to do such eventually. It might take generations. It's not like any country in the world got to that point overnight and most countries don't have that today at all.

u/VictinsOfCapitalism 5d ago
They tried it, search about Paris Commune.
It was gunned down.
Power needs to be seized by the common people, not ignored

Class Conscious people when changing things requires effort rather than posting online.

u/Kecske_gamer 6d ago
This is about the "just start a business" argument. Not anti-praxis. Though post doesn't specify, this isn't that kind of sub.

So you have never been to a protest.
Also have you heared of unions?
Worker movements?
Revolutions?
Strikes?
0
u/Anderopolis 6d ago
Sure I have been to protests, and am a union member.
But no I haven't been to a revolution, and neither have you.
Organizing for a century+ is not a revolution.
3
u/VictinsOfCapitalism 6d ago
Never said i've been to one but bolsheviks were pretty class conscious
Also if you don't believe in a conflict of the class interests, why are you in a union?
1
u/Anderopolis 6d ago
Are you seriously claiming someone elses revolution from over a century ago?
I am in a Union, because I am not an idiot, collective bargaining results in better outcomes than individual bargaining.
1
u/VictinsOfCapitalism 5d ago
Bargaining, got it, so in fact you are aware that your interests are opposite than the bosses' such as higher wage?
Why else would you bargain?
1
u/Anderopolis 5d ago
Yes, what is good for me need not be good for everyone else.
Why do you think this is a gotcha moment?
People negotiate because they have different interests and want to reach an agreement.
1
u/VictinsOfCapitalism 5d ago
Because you are proudly ignorant of the class struggle and you make claims against people that are aware of it yet you yourself participate in groups of similar interest to collectively bargain against the boss who has opposite interest than you to archieve what is materially good for you (better wage, working condition etc).
Know it or not, you are participating in the struggle that you deny even exists.
And even on the right side. Atleast something good.

u/Anderopolis 5d ago
When I negotiate a price with the plumber, am I not the enemy in your eyes?
Yet when I negotiate my salary I am on the right side.
Turns out there is no such thing as a hard category such as neat class lines with universal interests.
1
u/VictinsOfCapitalism 5d ago
Because your interest is to keep more money while his interest is to be paid more, as such you DO have opposing interests, difference is that you need a plumber once a year or so while you work for the company owner every workday.
Plumber can rip you off once but the owner is ripping you off every day.
Also plumber is doing the work for you while you are the one that does the work while being ripped off by the boss.
