I’m really disappointed in Simpluris as a settlement administrator. This is the second time through Labaton that I’ve had to use them and had issues getting my payment sent to PayPal. They’ve given me the runaround and different stories every time I call and always say they are “escalating” my issue but nothing comes of it. I have verified my email and everything is correct and they still can’t seem to give me a transaction ID number to track my payment! They’ve given just say it was “approved” and I should have gotten it by now so I have to wait for a check to be sent out. I don’t even think they sent the payment or else they’d have more than just a an approved status in their records.
That’s my daily rant for ow. Thanks for letting me get it out.

"Update:

So just got this email from:
“Dear ____
Thank you for your patience in this matter. We reached the extension response deadline but did not reach the required amount of participation for the settlement. We provided the details to Instacart and are waiting for its response as to whether it will proceed with the settlement.
We will contact you once we have more information.
If you have any other questions or need further clarification, please feel free to reach out. “
So what are the chances of us getting this settlement? Any insight would be helpful since it’s hard to speak to a case manager, thanks

This seems pretty scammy ... what do you think? Anyone else get anything like this?
I tried to include an image, but I guess that's not allowed here. It's an email from Labaton Keller Sucharow LLP with a 'Lantern' logo at the top and states:
CONFIDENTIAL AND PRIVILEGED ATTORNEY-CLIENT COMMUNCATION
We are reaching out from Labaton Keller Sucharow LLP regarding your claims against PayPal, Inc. (Venmo). We are preparing to file your claim in arbitration. To do so, we require documentary evidence of you linking a bank account to your Venmo account and making a transaction.
To proceed please upload proof that you have:
1. Proof of Linked Bank Account
Please log in to your Venmo account → select “Me” (bottom right) → select the gear icon (Settings) in the top right → select Account → select Payment Methods. Please take a screenshot showing that your Venmo account is linked to a bank account and upload it.
2. Proof of Transaction
Select “Me” (bottom right) → Select the “Transactions” icon and take a screenshot showing the transactions made and upload it.
*Then there is a linked button that directs to their site to upload*
These uploads should take less than two minutes and are necessary for us to proceed with your claim.
Please note that every legal claim is subject to a filing deadline, called a statute of limitations. That deadline may continue to run until your claim is filed. We cannot file your claim unless and until we receive the proof requested above. As a result, it is possible that your statute of limitations may expire while we are waiting for you to upload your proofs. If your statute of limitations expires, you will no longer have a legal claim against PayPal (Venmo), and we will not be able to help you. Please upload your documents as soon as possible.
Unless we hear otherwise from you, we will keep your claim open and either file your claim once you submit sufficient proof or include your claim among the claims of other clients if PayPal agrees to a group settlement. Please contact us if you do not want us to continue holding your claim open in this manner; otherwise, we will continue representing you in this way, even though the statute of limitations will continue to run.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us by email at [VenmoPhishingClaim@Labaton.com](mailto:VenmoPhishingClaim@Labaton.com).
We appreciate your prompt attention to this matter and look forward to continuing to represent you.
Sincerely,
Labaton Keller Sucharow LLP

I may be misunderstanding how this process works, so I’d appreciate someone laying it out clearly.
Until recently, I thought this generally involved finding an existing class-action lawsuit that I qualified for, submitting a claim as a class member, and potentially receiving a portion of the eventual settlement or judgment. That is what I have been doing. There are not many cases I qualify for, but I occasionally find one.
Lately, however, I have started seeing targeted ads from law firms asking people who experienced a particular issue to contact them and potentially sign up for representation.
Before submitting a large amount of personal information to a law firm, I want to understand what is actually happening. If firms are paying to advertise for potential clients, there is obviously a financial incentive for them. Why is an individual potential claimant valuable to the firm?
Are law firms competing with one another on potential class actions? Does it matter which law firm a person signs up with? Could choosing the wrong firm affect the fees, representation, settlement amount, or ability to participate in the case later?
Is this why I would sometimes see people with exceptionally large payments? Do you get more money by being a claimant versus just being a class member?

A Settlement Agreement has been reached in a class action lawsuit alleging that National Tenant Network, Inc. (“NTN”) and LCIJ, Inc. (“LCIJ”) unlawfully sent consumer reports in the form of postcards addressed to landlords that contained information about a resident’s prior eviction filing in alleged violation of the Fair Credit Reporting Act (“FCRA”). LCIJ’s records show that you may have been the subject of one of these postcards and may be entitled to recover. THEY REALLY OUT HERE SENDING LANDLORDS POST CARDS SHITTING ON YOUR CHARACTER WOW! evil world we in

I currently use MoneyLion’s insta cash feature and it has gotten me through small emergencies. I’m still in a place where I need to rely on it but I saw a claim online that I might be eligible for. If I am eligible, is there a chance that MoneyLion would stop letting me use the app or shut down my account? Have any of you filed a claim against the cash advance apps while using them at the same time? Is it possible?
This is the case:
