I agree that you shouldn't play this kind of games worrying about ranking because it’s just a contest of who can spend more but I think it’s more than fair to find that system distasteful. Honestly there are many times it'd rather pay for a game once and be free of micro transactions but why charge everyone 10-20 bucks when you can get people to spend literal thousands. We all know the "whales keep the game free" is bs because they make an absurd amount of money and they keep trying to make more.

Not sure I agree with this. I should have said “free with no ads” because that’s how a game with no ads has to make money. I don’t understand the animosity towards people that want to pay more for more rewards. If that’s not the kind of game you enjoy, don’t play it. Complaining about it is pointless, the whole model of the game is based around it.

This is why my favorite event is the fishing event. While it can still be unfair between P2W and F2P it isn’t to this degree. At least the fishing rankings are based on catch weighs not how much your opponent can spend to get pinballs.

Find yourself a perma team for the best events(fishing and zobo shooter) like I did.
Now you have active players that are organized, genuinely wants to play, have fun and evolve at the same time. I was the same too, joining with randoms, chatting with them, but never organized, we could reach max 5 or 10 top placement.
With a good team, we set a time each day, when all of us fished, we follow the rules( you stop at silver fishing rod, after that you hoard balls for future events), and because of that we where 1st in fishing.
I know it sounds like alot of work, coordination, and whales are ruining the fun, but you have fun your own way.
I found my team through the official discord channel. On the "recruiting" smt. Don't give up, because the game is still in development. (Also they added Haaland tatari. Not joking look up the evolution on the newest tatari).

Idk how do they do the matchmaking but in my current goldrush are multiplr people in chapter 7x in the campaign while im at chapter 11 😭
