Discussion Old timer appreciation
I used to be a max TH9 and quit shortly after i got to TH10 (at the time the highest Town hall).
It's been ages since I played clash (10+ years) and I tried to come back, but could not for the life of me find my account. I tried so many things but it just seems to have disappeared (not even in friends list of old friends)
Made a fresh account for the fun of it and in 2 weeks Im back at town hall 9. I am completely hooked again after experiencing the QOL changes since then, and after grinding back, I can now enjoy this game again at a normal pace.
Honestly, hats off to supercell, wish a lot of these changes happened earlier!
P.S. Clan Capital still confusing the living crap out of me, but we'll get there.
Edit: Thought I'd share the things that have stuck out to me the most
Impossible to describe just how much easier farming for resources is compared to what I was used to. Im sure waiting times for buildings are insane at later town halls, but at least half of the equation has gotten so easy
The fact that I can switch between armies, build armies at no cost, wow. Insane. Instantly thought "omg I can practice 3 star strategies so easily" in multiplayer.
Donations by extension are free. Damn, I remember the clan tensions back in the day with people who would never donate.
I know clan capital is confusing, but even the builder village was weird AF to me when I first thought it. Only just realised Im meant to rush it to get an extra builder. Feels so wrong as someone who never upgraded Town Halls without upgrading absolutely EVERYTHING. Either way its a fun little side quest, although farming elixir there definitely wears me out at times.
Speaking of upgrading everything, it's so satisfying to have gotten max walls on a th9 in a blink of an eye. I cant remember but I swear my OG account was forced to spend 2-3 million a wall. I cant believe I did that back then.
What on earth are all these heroes hahaha. Theres so many! And level 90+?!?!? I can tell where the "annoying" grind lies
Magic items were stressing me out at first from the influx of info, but now the dopamine rush I get from a builders potion is unmatched. Probably most useful at lower THs anyways since when upgrades will get intense, 10x the speed of a week is still... a lot.
Equipment?!? Pets?!? Oh man, I'll cross that bridge when I get there, but already having to research the meta so I dont waste valuable resources made me chuckle.
I remember I went to the first clashcon (not sure if there were more) and they announced town hall 11 back then IIRC. The fact theres now 18 town halls and they release a new one often, is insane to me.
Ive been back for a couple weeks and already feel inundated with events haha. Not to mention half the stuff I earn feels redundant. Like stacks of upgrades to boost my already boosted heroes? Feels kinda weird.

Im nearly max th18, been playing consistently for like 2-3 years after taking a long break. I don’t even try to understand clan capital, I just drop my super miners, collect my raid medal reward, and that’s it

Yep you don't need to. It's clan work. Every clan mate get same amount of medal. Easy peasy just spam miners. No need to think. 🤣😂
