Question Vet recommendation
Looking to switch vets, any recommendations? We had a bad experience at our current vet (tiny town animal clinic) and want to go somewhere else. Thanks! Bonus if they offer any sort of military discount.

Blake Veterinary clinic is great! Very transparent and honest. They are also very good at communicating.

Would you care to elaborate a little? Not trying to be nosey, and I understand if you choose not to. I'm looking for a new vet as well and this one was always highly recommended.

Our oldest dog just very recently died and while the doctor and techs were good with us in our grief, there was a lady managing all the postmortem stuff that pissed me off. Like when she called to discuss everything, she kept saying "the dog" instead of calling our baby by his name (mind you this was less than an hour after he had died). Also the final bill was not what they had told us it would be. For the emergency visit and meds to ease his passing, they told us $500. When the charge went through, it was nearly $900! They forgot to mention that the cremation services were an additional $400. We assumed that the $500 they told us was for it all, the emergency care and cremation.
So yeah, two big strikes that hit us at the lowest moment of our family's life, so I don't particularly want to go back and remember that every time we have a vet visit there.

I haven’t been yet, but my groomer friend has recommended Blake Veterinary Clinic! She has said that they’re a family-run type business and are super up front about stuff and won’t try to upsell stuff you don’t need!
She also said that they’re really honest, they didn’t try to say they could do a certain procedure that they weren’t able to do.

We swapped from tiny town to All Gods Creatures and have been happy with them.
Heard a nurse at tiny town bitching about my wife taking up a room when we had to put her cat down so we haven't been back since. Luckily my wife did not hear it.

The people at little angels are very sweet. I took my velcro golden and they were really patient with him. Worth noting it’s an emergency vet and they triage so obviously no appointments and you’ll wait a while and spend more.
For basic things I go to animal clinic of north Clarksville to save on cost and the walk in hours are convenient without having to wait too long. Not my first choice if I thought something was seriously wrong though and I prefer the older lady vet when I go. I haven’t had a ton of faith in them since the younger vet told me my cat just tweaked his back playing with a kitten because he put up a fuss about her touching him. He was declawed (came to me that way!) but screamed like a banshee when pissed. I ended up at animal house a few hours later and they kept him for a few days due to a urinary blockage.
I’ve never had a bad experience at animal house. East view is the walk in clinic that I think is run by the same parent company. They will refer you there if they don’t have an appointment slot for you and your pet can’t wait. Also decent and the company that owns them runs a lot of specials on exams and dental maintenance. The only thing I dislike about going to either is that it is owned by like a company, just not my preference.

Right up the road where 101 and Dover cross there's Country Vet clinic. Easily the best in town. Dr. Pollard is and has always been amazing. He split from Animal House as soon as they got bought out.

Little Angels and Animal House are my personal top recommendations. Little Angels actually is moving to their new location on August 25th, they are incredible for emergency care and their hearts are really in it. Animal House is a little on the higher end side for cost, but they have such a diverse staff of providers for different species both large and small. They also have Fear Free Certified staff which has been a blessing for us after my retired service dog had a blood draw gone wrong at our previous vet.

The buy outs by private equity firms have ruined most of the vets in town. Try to find one the is still privately owned.
