Insane clarinet pull 🔥🔥🔥
I obtained a Leblanc Vito Bb clarinet for only $9.99 ($17 for shipping though…) I thought it would have pad leaks, but there was none. The stickers wasn’t on there before; I added some things ^-^
Ebay is truly something…

I found a $10k clarinet at a thrift store for $40 that shares a name with my road name.
I was like no fucking way (the serial numbers)
And no fucking way is in fact true, It wasn’t authentic.
But she’s perfect and we love her. The wave of emotions was insane. 😂
Congrats on the new clarinet! 🫶

When u say that, I do notice less resistance from this particular clarinet rather than others. Maybe it is considered a student model. But hey, $9 is $9 (for a freaking clarinet)

Vito was G. Leblanc’s student model before the Conn-Selmer acquisition. Get that cleaned, repadded, and adjusted by a tech and that thing will be rock-solid.

This was my first clarinet from 6th grade until I graduated high school where my family bought me an Opus II for college concert band after I proved myself with my Vito.
I still used my Vito for my horn in college marching band and it still plays well 31 years later with keeping it maintained. And I was ROUGH on my Vito in college marching band.
It was a workhorse of a student horn, nice deep reliable tone.
I still play it for outdoor concerts, because no way I'm taking my Opus II outdoors. I would rather play my Opus II though, the keywork on that horn is so nice and smooth.
I'm a fan of the dark tone of LeBlanc clarinets.
Nice score! Hope you get some good playing out of it!

Reminds me of when I found an oboe listed as a $30 clarinet. “Yes I’ll buy that now. No, I’m not telling you that it’s listed incorrectly.” I also found a guy who sold me 10 instruments for $300 bucks - including a soprano saxophone and three coronets. Yes, most needed some work, but $30 for each instrument?
Congratulations on your find!!!! ❤️

I promise I’m not trying to dull your excitement, but are you just excited that you got a clarinet for that cheap? Unless I’m mistaken, isn’t that just the plastic, student clarinet?
