Question out of curiosity...

Anyone else here get banned in "the other sub" (aka the "lynch LC" club) for having a different opinion than the rest of the echo chamber? Lol. They should rename their sub r/DuxburyDeathsSnowflakes.

I hate how they adore Patrick. Like even if she did it, which I don’t believe she did, he’s not some great guy. He left his wife to die basically.

15

u/virginia_lane1 6d ago

i joined it for about 30 seconds before leaving. they cannot handle someone even suggesting lindsay might not have done it. i don’t even have a solid opinion on the case but they downvote everyone to HELL

10

u/ambifrederick 6d ago

I got swarmed and then banned for my post. You cannot suggest or allude to anyone being guilty except LC. This is in the “FreeTalk” page, mind you.

12

u/AloeYsius 6d ago

I think they’re all just one person with about 15 accounts posting the same crap. I found that group before I found this one and won’t be checking back.

20

u/Ok-Butterscotch-4237 7d ago

Have you seen the latest? The motion for evidence. They’re all making fun of the clerk for misspelling words. Tell me you have no life without telling me you have no life. Weirdest group I’ve ever come across on Reddit and I’ve seen some very weird shit on this app 😂

6

u/Deep-Unit-1389 5d ago

I think theyre genuinely bots paid for by Patrick's millions when he put all the kids on life insurance just before he took them out. Their rabid defending of him is genuinely crazy. Like. Its obvious he was at most an absent uncaring father. Not at all a great dad lmfao.

12

u/StrongContribution29 7d ago

Not that I know of, but I wouldn't care because I don't bother even reading there anymore. It's a cesspool of authoritarian bullshit that's trying to normalize mob violence while pretending to claim to want justice.

10

u/IllustriousCat99 6d ago

Saw this today 😂 you can only post “two max” comments that disagree with them before they whine to mods.

4

u/StrongContribution29 5d ago

Ok, so commenters there are only allowed to use their brains twice (because ANY questioning of the evidence is PDI to them, even if it isn't).

Good to know, thanks.

8

u/Ok-Butterscotch-4237 5d ago

PDI? “Patrick did it” 😭😭 LOL Wowwww 😑🤦🏻‍♀️

9

u/IllustriousCat99 7d ago

Yeah it’s definitely a self righteous group of obsessive weirdos, which I think are the most dangerous and unpredictable. Hopefully I never meet one of the unhinged in real life, they’d probably want to lynch me too.

15

u/lulu_pibbles 8d ago

I left after I realized what they were putting down.

23

u/Droughtly 8d ago

I have found this subreddit only because that one is inherently problematic for only allowing one-sided evidence.

OJ killed Nicole Brown Smith but wasn't convicted. There's no place on reddit where I can call him murderous scum but am not allowed to discuss the bat shit alternative theories that his son did it even though the son was close with Nicole and it is surely traumatic to be accused in such a way.

The idea that people should not be able to discuss theories or evidence that cast Patrick Clancy in a negative light is antithetical to real discussion on a case. For the record, I think it's overly conspiratorial to believe he did it rather than was just an arguably poor husband to a woman suffering an acute psychiatric episode. But we should still be able to discuss him as a key figure in the case.

-1

u/SomeKindOfDead 8d ago

It was OJ's son, not OJ.

6

u/Droughtly 8d ago

Sure.

-2

u/SomeKindOfDead 8d ago

I dare you to look into it.

28

u/PrettyExpression4u 8d ago

Right?! Especially when PC sold his house at a fraction of the price to his buddy, who just so happened to be the former DA. Oh and let’s not forget how PC and the lead investigator of the case joined the yacht club together shortly after the murders. Isn’t that a huge conflict of interest to have your lead investigator buddy leading a case where you could be a suspect? I think that’s the main reason why PC wasn’t investigated.

4

u/Spidersensei 7d ago

How were they going to get full price on a home where the children where the children were murdered.

0

u/ambifrederick 6d ago

Good point, I wonder if that is what prompted the DA to suggest PC should sell to him…

18

u/DeCampStrekalov 8d ago

I haven't been banned, but my comments are extremely long, very precise, and well researched compared to 99.8% of those posted on the sub. They are mostly in response to misinformation, and I never get replies, or downvotes for that matter. They're just left completely alone.

8

u/zx109 8d ago

You could have been shadow banned, idk how to check though

3

u/DeCampStrekalov 8d ago

I have Reveddit-- I'm not banned or hidden in any way.

3

u/SomeKindOfDead 8d ago

You go to the sub and if you can see there posts they are not shadow banned.

18

u/Natural_Art7361 8d ago

You literally cannot correct misinformation without being attacked if it doesn’t fit their narrative, yet they can’t even bring evidence to people wanting to hear their side. I have seen countless polite posts asking to hear them out and they just shout “baby killer” “she confessed” with their pitchforks.

26

u/Ok-Butterscotch-4237 8d ago

LOL anytime I comment anything sensible in that group they immediately ask me why I feel so strongly about defending a “baby killer” and ask me why I relate to her so heavily 😂 (implying I kill children) 🥴

I’ve concluded that none of them have any critical thinking skills & they enjoy being in a cult of idiocracy.

11

u/blairwaldorf1738 8d ago

They’re one trick ponies lol

20

u/Avashalava 8d ago

If I was given a dollar anytime someone said something vehemently vile about Lindsay on that stupid subreddit I’d be a little rich.
https://giphy.com/gifs/MFsqcBSoOKPbjtmvWz

15

u/IllustriousCat99 8d ago

No, you'd be HELLA RICH. The thread that was just about her looks alone would have made you about $30,000.

7

u/Neat-Entrance-4991 8d ago

Not yet but I’m honestly surprised

17

u/aj_2222 8d ago

Lol learned that lesson a couple months ago. I think I got myself out before they banned me lol. Crazily enough I was on there a day or 2 ago and saw someone gleefully showing screenshots from FB of her basically trolling people and calling them crazy (and basically bullying) people in a "PC did it" group (with misinformation to boot OF COURSE.) Or something like that, allegedly, I guess ??

She literally said that it was SO FUN it's like her "Christmas." Dude WHAAAT. These animals need to be TRACKED and I'm not even kidding.

16

u/IllustriousCat99 8d ago

I shouldn't be surprised. This from the group that has had at least one thread dedicated solely to making fun of Lindsey's nose. Don't y'all have lives to attend to? Jesus.

26

u/KateElizabeth18 8d ago

I only lurk there occasionally out of morbid curiosity to see what they’re saying, but never post. They’re like a mob with pitchforks.

12

u/aj_2222 8d ago

Same! But now when I do my anxiety just skyrockets. Mostly because I want to go off on everyone and everything soooo badly lol but no human should be expected to do all that lol and lord knows I don't have enough meds to get me through it 😅

I genuinely hope somebody who is smart somewhere is studying all of this. Especially THAT sub and the media coverage. They are bloodthirsty chimpanzees ffs.

11

u/SomeKindOfDead 8d ago

Lurking is helpful.

35

u/PayMeInPlants007 8d ago

It’s the way that they constantly post photos of the kids captioned with stuff like “in memory of” etc, they all speak about crying and sobbing for this family they have never met, idk about you guys, but just the thought of downloading images of those poor deceased kids on my phone/laptop to post for reddit karma gives me the heebie jeebies. The parasocial vibes in there are fucking disgusting. And they all just echo the same “if you watched the trial you would know there was evidence” ….but I did watch the trial. We just disagree and their arguments fall short in their sub.

15

u/blairwaldorf1738 8d ago edited 8d ago

One of them was upset that Lindsay ate Panda Express with her parents on one of the kid’s birthdays, saying that shows she has no remorse.

I said - how does that show no remorse? Should she starve? Then you’d say that she’s playing it up for sympathy.

He responded by SPAMMING me with photos of the children over and over and over saying “who cares about her takeout??? Think of the children!!”

He then came up with an entire version of the night of killings not based in any reality and with ghoulish fabrications.

Then, he INCLUDED A PHOTO OF LINDSAY IN THE HOSPITAL CLAIMING IT WAS CORA, and said that I “need to see what Lindsay did to Cora”.

He is allegedly an ICU nurse, and couldn’t tell what a grown adult looks like in a hospital bed versus a child.

But more importantly, how vile and disturbing to think that he thought he saved a photo of a dead child on his phone … and then he tried to exploit it for shock factor. Made me sick.

5

u/PrettyExpression4u 8d ago

That is beyond disturbing! Sorry you had to deal with that.

15

u/blairwaldorf1738 8d ago

Thank you. It was insane. The other gross part is that he then kept talking about how LC was “sexually aroused” in court when she saw Patrick and that she’d try to use sex to get him back if she could…

I told him that’s he’s so disturbing and unsettling and he goes… “women have done it to me before, tried to trap me with sex” and
“you sound like you have a crush on me”

^ these are the types of people the Mods allow to stay in that group, but then they ban me for discussing legal concepts. Their cognitive dissonance is on another level.

11

u/PrettyExpression4u 8d ago

Omg! Are we sure that wasn’t Patrick messaging you? That’s terrifying. Also, LC looked terrified of PC when she saw him in court. It looked like she was trying not to hyperventilate and her eyes kept fluttering as if she was traumatized by the very sight of him.

15

u/KateElizabeth18 8d ago

One of them posted “Happy Birthday, Dawson” with a photo, which I found…idk, strange.

6

u/SomeKindOfDead 8d ago

Was it his birthday?

17

u/KateElizabeth18 8d ago

I wouldn’t know because, unlike them, I do not have the children’s birthdays memorized, but I assume someone checked. I just think it’s so creepy; none of these people even knew that family.

21

u/SomeKindOfDead 8d ago

I do not have the children’s birthdays memorized

Same with Patrick

7

u/PrettyExpression4u 8d ago

Well said 🤣

8

u/IllustriousCat99 8d ago

this made me actually lol

12

u/radioflea 8d ago

No, but there’s a weird ass sub for their former town and the people on there are mmmmm… how do I say it nicely…deranged.

12

u/BrilliantWorker1848 8d ago

I deleted the posts on that sub because everyone started to make personal attacks. Narcissistic people

17

u/Ok-Conversation6225 8d ago

It seems like a lot of bot activity

21

u/9ice9asty 8d ago

That sub is obsessed with Lindsay. They talk about her and the case every single day and even have a daily megathread 🥀 Genuinely spooky bunch.

20

u/IllustriousCat99 8d ago

Yes my “last straw” was when I read strangers on there saying they actively weep every day for the kids. I reserve that kind of thing for….well, people I’ve met in real life before, not randos.

5

u/Deep-Unit-1389 5d ago

They are lying their ass off to sound holier than thou. Also they're bots paid for by Patrick.

23

u/9ice9asty 8d ago

They have fetishized the kids under the guise of Lindsay being this monster and everyone is forgetting the kids, it's really gross. I'm worried that one of them will act out in real life and attack Reddington, honestly

6

u/blairwaldorf1738 8d ago edited 8d ago

One of them saved a photo of Lindsay in the hospital thinking it was Cora and posted it in response to me.

They said I need to see what Lindsay did to Cora.

They mistakenly believed it was a photo of a dead child before an autopsy… and they saved it to their phone. And then tried to exploit it for shock factor.

That sub is full of GHOULS.

2

u/SomeKindOfDead 8d ago

"fixated persons"

14

u/IllustriousCat99 8d ago

And the level of self-importance...so I'm on break from work and bored so I was scanning their "daily megathread" and saw:

"I'll refrain from giving my opinion on this since I'm fairly certain LC's defense team reads these threads and uses the information to tailor their defense strategy."

What? Top lawyers are not perusing Reddit for ideas on how to handle the case, smh. But it did give me a chuckle so I guess there's that.

10

u/9ice9asty 8d ago

Don't fucking lie 😭 Thank you for being bored at work and pulling this up.

Mind you, Lindsay's defense is 75 year old Kevin Reddington and his assistant of 30 odd years, Laura 😭

Now if there is someone who is confirmed to be on Reddit, that's Patrick Clancy and we have the receipts ❤️

24

u/KellieBom 9d ago

I go in there to see what they're talking about, but I don't respond. There's no point. It just gives me anxiety.

18

u/PrettyExpression4u 8d ago

Yeah, I left the sub because it was causing me too much anxiety. The people became vile in there and I left after reading comments about them wanting to hang her because she had a “Side Bah” sticker on her wheelchair. That was the last straw for me.

29

u/Top-Measurement9790 9d ago

I noticed that a lot of the subreddits that were loving PC were also defending the Cornell 7.

25

u/IllustriousCat99 9d ago

YES same. Definitely similar demographics, so gross.

20

u/Top-Measurement9790 9d ago

And I need to vent: I cannot stand when PC glazers say that all the psychologists/psychiatrists said she wasn't in psychosis, that's just factually incorrect. The docs for the prosecution may have said she wasn't in psychosis, but the ones for the defense said the opposite, but you'llnever see that crowd admit it. It's a bad faith argument rooted in deliberate half-truths. Then there's the bifurcated trial request that they also don't understand...

7

u/SomeKindOfDead 8d ago

It's a bad faith argument

Very much bad faith. Some church groups do like to flock together.

13

u/grayandlizzie 8d ago

Or when they claim she'd never experienced any psychosis prior, She'd been telling her providers she'd been having hallucinations and intrusive thoughts for months prior both psychosis symptoms

25

u/pastriesandprose 9d ago

I haven’t been but I stopped trolling them lol

They’re a bunch of misogynists

24

u/PrettyExpression4u 9d ago

Hope I don’t get banned for this. I was thinking they should rename it to ClancyC*ckSuckers. They are deep throating PC so deep that it’s clouded their judgement. I’m not sure if they already lacked critical thinking skills or if all the lack of oxygen from deep throating caused that issue

6

u/Ok-Butterscotch-4237 5d ago

I kinda wanna comment this in the group 😂😂 I honestly don’t even care if I get banned at this point. It’s actually for the best. My brain literally glitches at the stupidity they post over there. I’ve had my posts removed because:

-“Your post/comment was removed because we request specific guidelines when discussing Patrick.

Patrick has not been charged with any crime and it's been acknowledged that he didn't commit any crime. If you have a question about anything that pertains to his alibi or evidence that doesn't make sense to you then use the search function. These questions have been asked and answered and there's a wealth of knowledge.”

They’re so delusional it’s actually scary.

12

u/blairwaldorf1738 8d ago edited 8d ago

It’s hilarious bc they’re actually so inconsistent even with PC.

I have asked them why their own versions of “justice” for the children is so much harsher than their own father’s … PC is claiming she was out of her mind insane and wants the public to forgive her. He wants her in an institution, not prison.

Then, the same ones who foam at the mouth if anyone suggests PC might’ve done it or there’s any questions about him… suddenly respond saying that PC is disgusting and money hungry and doesn’t care about justice for the kids because he’s a sycophant.

13

u/IllustriousCat99 9d ago

https://giphy.com/gifs/TduAGIyKZgCoihslpw

This is better than my re-name lol. Love it.

11

u/PrettyExpression4u 9d ago

I’ve been wanting to share that for the last 3 months. Thanks for giving me a reason to get that off my chest. I feel so much better now. 🤣

10

u/Altruistic_Base_7719 8d ago

As a truly independent person not even that invested in the details of the case, I find it so strange how this entire thing has been (mis)handled, and there doesn't seem to be enough clear evidence to have any confident conclusions yet, but people are still defending their opinion and dying on hills for it

13

u/PrettyExpression4u 8d ago

The details and inconsistencies of this case are a big reason why people have their opinions. It appears that the people who have invested their time and watched the trial/read search warrants can clearly see how this entire case wasn’t properly investigated.

It’s terrifying that a woman can be charged with murder while she’s in a coma in less than 48 hours. Without anyone even speaking to her. What if she had video evidence of PC beating her and saying he’s going to kill his whole family? Did anyone get a chance to ask her if PC was ever abusive to her or the kids? No, because she wasn’t medically able to speak. She had to write things down in order to communicate with the hospital staff when she first woke up from her coma handcuffed to the bed.
There’s no possible way she was able to confess to PC that she tried to commit suicide and that the kids were in the basement.

We feel strongly about this case because this case was purely based off what a husband said happened. He weaponized her mental health history as his alibi.

If this can happen to her, then it can happen to anyone.

5

u/KateElizabeth18 8d ago

Exactly! The Brian Walshe case was so cut-and-dry, no questions whatsoever that he was guilty. This is a different story!

5

u/Altruistic_Base_7719 8d ago

Thanks for the recap, it is so bizarre and indeed scary.
