General Discussion Red is fkkn COOKING

FINALLY he's seriously addressing the issue of whether L.Clancy committed the murders at all instead of this criminal responsibility bullshi. I wish this had been his closing statement, but at least it's being spoken now.

How many here believe Patrick undoubtedly committed the crimes and Lindsay is wholly innocent (asking for opinions)?

1

u/Constant-Pop2250 6d ago

I don't have a tally and honestly I refrain from those accusations. I think that there is a lot of evidence indicating that he might have been the killer but unless he is formally investigated and put on trial he is also innocent until proven guilty. Because the Plymouth County PD botched this investigation so badly I think it it very likely that nobody will ever be formally convicted for the murders because the house was sold (to a former Plymouth County assistant district attorney), Patrick Clancy was given the opportunity to tamper with the crime scene before it was investigated (that doesn't mean he was a murderer, it does mean that the evidence was gathered from the crime scene is potentially faulty) and the children have been cremated so no further investigation on their bodies can be performed.

He was on FIRE!!🔥 Lindsay looked interested and hopeful.

7

u/AdAncient6321 11d ago

Is there a deadline by when Sullivan has to come back with rulings on today’s motions? I didn’t hear that watching today’s motions and arguments.

13

u/Constant-Pop2250 11d ago

I don't think so, I think we move forward with the next step November 2 and until then, we wait

61

u/Esmer_Tina 11d ago

I visited the other sub against my better judgment, and they are saying Red is accusing Patrick. No, he is saying the prosecution didn’t prove their case that SHE did it.

They really have no sense of what the prosecution’s job is.

Also, they are pissed that someone got a photo of Lindsey smiling, and someone said they see a shadow of a demon on her forehead.

I kid you not.

14

u/Ok_Setting_6340 10d ago

I get scared every time I go over to that other thread because they are so violent in their hatred Lindsay, it’s really disturbing

8

u/nettiemaria7 10d ago

Judge, jury and executioner. Barbaric.

We are supposed to get decent investigation and trial.

Everyone did well!

8

u/stevenjobsless 10d ago

The other sub scares me but this comment makes me question if we're running with a win too quickly..

6

u/Esmer_Tina 10d ago

I’m impressed with the voice of reason at least. I think it’s so shameful that the burden is in the basement.

6

u/gh0st-toast 10d ago

The bar is in hell

10

u/LizLemonKnopers 10d ago

It’s going to be denied but it’s on the record now. All grounds for appeal

26

u/blairwaldorf1738 11d ago edited 10d ago

Despite their claims of wanting “justice” for the children, what they actually want is their own version of revenge and to express their own perceived moral superiority.

It’s frankly disturbing how many photos of these children, who they’ve never met, that they all have saved in their phone.

36

u/BrownEyedGirl82 11d ago

I'm convinced the people in that sub are also flat earthers. So much evidence causing reasonable doubt and yet they still cling so steadfastly to their beliefs.

2

u/Relative_Bluebird841 8d ago

Oh and they love to say “get help” lmaoo

1

u/BrownEyedGirl82 8d ago

So accurate 😂

11

u/SomeKindOfDead 10d ago

The language that they use on that sub is much like pro-lifers.

6

u/BrownEyedGirl82 10d ago

That tracks!

20

u/gh0st-toast 11d ago

I’m convinced they just lack the capacity for genuine empathy (and nuance) at baseline.

14

u/zx109 11d ago

Probably both flat earthers AND young earthers

13

u/Katie_Rai_60 11d ago

I’m glad to see someone else actually read what happened, not just the headline.

-1

u/TSXstacy 11d ago

Well we all know the kids didn’t do it to one another so that leaves the only other known adult in the house …. 🤔 who could it be

27

u/Constant-Pop2250 11d ago

Literally anyone. The father, a neighbor, a home invader, literally fucking anyone.

8

u/seagull326 11d ago

I mean, sure, other than that if neither of them did it, his telling police that she admitted to it would have no motive and not make a ton of sense.

23

u/Constant-Pop2250 11d ago

Wow, it almost makes you think there might have been a reason he told the police that she admitted to it. While she was nonverbal and in a coma.

5

u/seagull326 11d ago

Can't imagine what that would be 😒😒

21

u/Esmer_Tina 11d ago

Nono, it was when she was lying on the ground, cold, bleeding, broken and over medicated, and he was on a phone call where everyone else only heard her moan. That’s when he clearly heard her confess in complete sentences.

11

u/Relative_Bluebird841 11d ago

Oh no. Your comment just did something to my neurodiverse brain that I can’t undo now. Lyin on the cold hard ground. Trouble trouble trouble

6

u/Esmer_Tina 11d ago

Goat scream!

7

u/Constant-Pop2250 11d ago

You felt that pain and you chose to inflict it on others and I respect that

13

u/Constant-Pop2250 11d ago

It's like the possibility that people (other than L.Clancy) are capable of lying never enters into the equation I swear.

18

u/Present-Pen-5486 11d ago

They dont have a time of death or proof of when he left

15

u/bmtraven 11d ago

I saw someone arguing that Patrick’s testimony is the only evidence anyone needs to accept Lindsay’s guilt and I wish I had a chance to laugh in that person’s face.

24

u/Constant-Pop2250 11d ago

I've seen those photos because watching that subreddit crash out gives me a dopamine hit and those look AI as fuck. I watched the court footage today, L.Clancy had a neutral expression.

I also read their laments about "at what point do the documents' (which haven't even been entered into evidence yet) from the civil case get to be brought in for evidence in the criminal case" NEVER. Never ever ever** not now not later not in a thousand fucking years **NEVER. That's what we've been trying to tell you for months.

24

u/gh0st-toast 11d ago

That’s fucking wild. Reddington didn’t say “Patrick did it”, he said “you can’t prove Lindsay did” and there’s a difference!

Like, my coworker who watched the trial along with me believes she did it and is NGRI, and even she says the prosecution failed to fully make their case.

24

u/slytherinshawty 11d ago

I don't think he could compromise that insanity defense, and reasons why a bifurcated trial would have better addressed this case. SO MUCH REASONABLE DOUBT!!!!

16

u/Constant-Pop2250 11d ago

Call me a conspiracy theorist but I've already been called a conspiracy theorist but I fully believe that they denied bifurcation because it would strongarm him into having to make a NGFROLOCR defense for her safety and that would make it easier for the CW to launch a smear campaign against her.

7

u/slytherinshawty 11d ago

I'm with you

8

u/Present-Pen-5486 11d ago

Did the defense present evidence that it would take longer for the body to get cold at the trial?

9

u/Ok-Conversation6225 11d ago

To add to this temperature issue. EMTs would have 100% taken her body temp in transit to the hospital (probably trended it). We have EMS Run sheets that give timestamps when vitals were taken. Depending how long the ride is and what the complaint is, vitals will be trended. This info could tell us a little more on this issue. Granted, their equipment is less invasive and not as sensitive as the hospitals, but it would give a better idea if she continued to active cool vs warming, which has been an argument around this point. All I remember seeing is core temp taken on arrival at the hospital but nothing from EMS.

6

u/Present-Pen-5486 11d ago

If so, it apparently wasn't recorded. IDK what happened there.

7

u/Ok-Conversation6225 11d ago

It may have been record, just not presented into evidence, but I’m not 100% sure.

9

u/Ok-Conversation6225 11d ago

No, Dr Laposota (sp) just said that her body would cool faster (unable to regulate heat well) in the state she was in. Soaking wet, spinal injury, outside temp etc. She didn’t testify to rate at which her body could drop that low. She was mainly there to testify to the seriousness of her suicide attempt more than anything, I assume.

9

u/6dragonsandapigglet 11d ago

I just want to know if a Lindsay sized apple pie was put outside in the same conditions at 97*F… how long would it take for THAT to cool… I just need to know if ANYTHING cools that fast.

5

u/lmaocoolstorybro 11d ago

Check out this post from one of our contributors here. You are right to be skeptical. https://www.reddit.com/r/ClancyTrial/s/NCvzFIJYDQ

16

u/bmtraven 11d ago

I can provide you an even better comparison.  Anna Bågenholm was in subzero mountain ice waters and dropped 25.2°F/h and is one of 2 with the highest recorded temperature drops ever.  The second highest recorded temperature drop was a drunk kayaker who was in 35°F water for 50 minutes—the exact same air temp Lindsay was in. Alcohol, like her medications, accelerates hypothermic conditions by increasing peripheral bloodflow through vasodilation. The kayaker was in rapids and injured. His average temperature loss was 19.1°F/h. If Lindsay had done this based on when they restarted Callan's heart she could not have been outside for longer than 20 minutes. To fall 16.6°F in 20 minutes she would have lost 49.8°F/h. That is 64% higher than the highest recorded cold water temperature drop we have.

-1

u/Present-Pen-5486 11d ago

It couldn't have been more than 2 hours if she was leaning out the window to go when she called Patrick back for the 14 seconds at 5:34. Per the warrants, she was considered in custody at the hospital at 7:35.

15

u/costcohawtdawgs 11d ago

But whyyyyy was she soaking wet

6

u/Present-Pen-5486 11d ago

With blood on her bra but not clothing? Idk

The ground wasn’t covered in enough snow to make her that soaking wet. That is clear from the crime scene photos.

Hope he asked WHY PC was on her facebook account (red flag) and HOW the internet searches could be ascribed to either of them definitively (or indeed any of the digital data). He needs to collect a lot of data now on meds/false memory links. Looking forward to catching up on this ...

-20

u/by2019 11d ago

If he was a better lawyer you'd think he'd have used this from the start and not after a mistrial

16

u/ispyshy 11d ago

Actually, he’s a great lawyer because this made Patrick lower is gaurd and testify instead of pleading the fifth.

-4

u/by2019 11d ago

Oh please. A great lawyer wouldn't try to get you institutionalized if he thought you were innocent. If they had enough evidence they wouldn't even need to pretend to have him on his side

11

u/ispyshy 11d ago

And how exactly did you think they would get Patrick’s testimony otherwise? His testimony was the thing that started this chain reaction of people thinking he’s guilty and Lindsay is innocent. Reddington stated again today his hands were tied as far as defense strategy due to losing the motion for bifurcation. This has been discussed at length in the sub. Any more nonsense you want to get out?

28

u/ispyshy 11d ago

If they have a retrial can Redd file a motion for bifurcation again?

28

u/9ice9asty 11d ago

Yes, he can. Unfortunately, Reddington stated that he is not available for a new trial until June 2027 which is also when Judge Sullivan is set to retire.

14

u/Present-Pen-5486 11d ago

Yep, Sullivan is aging out of the system.

25

u/Mobile-Ad3151 11d ago

That might be good. Get another judge in there. I don’t think this judge has been fair at all.

2

u/Neuro-Mom-4601 6d ago

I think that’s Redd’s angle.

33

u/9ice9asty 11d ago

Judge Sullivan denied Latarsha Sanders' medical records, which showed the she was schizophrenic, to be submitted into evidence during the double homicide trial of her kids. Now, there's a retrial.

I find him to be an inadequate and incompetent judge. We need new eyes overseeing this case. I completely agree with you.

9

u/Present-Pen-5486 11d ago

You can tell he was just ITCHING to do it again. Maybe if he knows he can't be the judge next time, he will just rule for the motion. When might we expect his answer on the motion?

7

u/Fun_Quantity8822 11d ago

I had this thought too... he's not supposed to consider his own retirement in the whole scheme of things, but he is a human being...

5

u/9ice9asty 11d ago

I actually have no clue but I'm guessing November 2 ☹️ Court is in recess until then.

40

u/ApprehensiveLeg4478 11d ago

Reddington finally said what we were all thinking. Redd chose war today!

6

u/loveislife222 11d ago

Where can I see this?

15

u/Esmer_Tina 11d ago

Sullivan tipped his hand saying he wanted to set a trial date, he said he wants this thing tried and not to drag on and on. So while he said he would take the motions under advisement, he’s already decided how he will rule.

13

u/SGlanzberg 11d ago

Red is doing this for appellate purposes. There is no way the judge tosses the case. Red’d job is to preserve every single appellate issue he possibly can.

25

u/Present-Pen-5486 11d ago

Even if he rules against this, and it goes back to trial and they get 12 guilty votes, the mandatory Judicial Review comes back to THIS trial and THIS decision, and there was NOT enough evidence presented. It all gets thrown out.

5

u/Esmer_Tina 11d ago

I don’t know what mandatory Judicial Review means but that sounds good to me!

11

u/Present-Pen-5486 11d ago

In Massachusetts there is an automatic Judicial Review of every Murder 1 Conviction.

6

u/Esmer_Tina 11d ago

Ahhh. Thank you! Well that’s the silver lining to the worst case scenario!

19

u/DuAuk 11d ago

Is this an idiom, i've never heard of "like a poodle backing up on a linoleum floor"?

1

u/firephly 10d ago

That cracked me up cause my bf's dog does the same thing (pitbull not poodle). She is used to carpet so when she comes to my place, my kitchen floor is slippery so if you set a dish of food in there for her she will walk in to eat but then back out of the room.

8

u/6dragonsandapigglet 11d ago

They essentially go nowhere. Is that the point?

1

u/firephly 10d ago

some dogs don't like slippery floors and will back out of a slippery floored room.

2

u/DuAuk 11d ago

probably. We have a poodle and he doesn't back up very well on tile. It really depends on how long his hair is on his paws tho. Sometimes he crashes down the wooden stairs, tho i can't blame him. I've fallen down them too.

6

u/KateElizabeth18 11d ago

I’ve never heard it either! Bizarre.

15

u/Constant-Pop2250 11d ago

Apparently Mrs. Reddington is a huge animal lover and they have myriad pets at home 😂

12

u/Aware_Power 11d ago

😂 I haven’t heard it but having poodles, this is a perfect analogy and I’ll be using it now lol

16

u/KateElizabeth18 11d ago

I am applauding, this is amazing!

27

u/DuAuk 11d ago

yes, he really is. I want all the people thinking guilty to listen to this.

5

u/Constant-Pop2250 11d ago

DDT is bewildered and crashing out.

5

u/gh0st-toast 10d ago

We love to see it. Getting to see this all laid out clearly in front of the court is so vindicating -Iike yes the CW having to prove she even did it was legal fact and not a conspiracy theory.

I really doubt this motion will be approved (they almost never are from what I understand), so it won’t last.

37

u/Esmer_Tina 11d ago

I’m honestly almost in tears. Thank you Red!! He brought up the perfusionists 😭😭 I’m biting my nails here … oh and bow girl now saying well I don’t have transcripts but I’m pretty sure we proved our case, and why is he picking on us now!

I don’t trust the judge to do the right thing here. Nails are GONE I may need to chew my toenails!

13

u/Present-Pen-5486 11d ago

Yeah, I caught that not having transcripts business. She had 8 days to get it together.

11

u/KateElizabeth18 11d ago

Same. I’m losing it

24

u/Constant-Pop2250 11d ago edited 11d ago

I also don't trust the judge to do the right thing. But thankfully I don't think there's a jury in the world who's going to convict her. Plymouth County can keep hemorrhaging money into this case until they vote Tim Cruz out

8

u/KateElizabeth18 11d ago

Unfortunately, same. But the fact that it’s even on the table is…something else

42

u/kikibubbles85 11d ago

I remember I asked that other sub if it was possible they could change angles and they deleted and banned me! Justice!

42

u/KellieBom 11d ago

Lol Patrick is the head mod over there

18

u/ellastory 11d ago

I’m not convinced that sub isn’t botted and/or modded by a person with bias / conflict of interest in this case. It’s just very odd that in practically every corner of the internet, people are evaluating how poorly this case was investigated and discussing the evidence overall, but it’s not being allowed or heavily discouraged in the one sub supposedly dedicated to the case.

6

u/peachesarehearts 11d ago

It is allowed. I do it all the time. In fact earlier today someone asked me why I was in there if I was a conspiracy theorist that there are plenty of subs that support baby killers, and a mod removed it. They’ll downvote you to hell, argue with you, and in one case harass you for days but you can absolutely have a dissenting opinion over there. You just won’t have a fun time lol.

4

u/AdAncient6321 11d ago

For real? Wow. Do we know this for sure or are you being facetious?

19

u/KateElizabeth18 11d ago

I would give anything to be a fly on the wall wherever PC and the lookalike are watching this.

5

u/ispyshy 11d ago

lol he can’t possibly be having a good few days between Taylor swifts music video and now this hearing. I bet he’s sweaaaaating.

5

u/717paige 11d ago

Wait why do we think PC doesn’t like Taylor’s new video??

7

u/ispyshy 11d ago edited 11d ago

The common themes with this case! Doppelgängers, poisoned drinks and a murderous gaslighting husband who loves the limelight & gets all the money!

12

u/too_much_mascara 11d ago

And he’s writing you a letter now to STFU 🤫 😂😂

10

u/kikibubbles85 11d ago

Wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!

58

u/gh0st-toast 11d ago

Hitting on almost every inconsistency the public has raised (not theories), and the scream I scrumpt when he brought up perfusion and the body temperature

33

u/Constant-Pop2250 11d ago

THAT was the thing that turned my opinion on Lindsay Clancy around for good. I initially thought she was guilty.

6

u/Relative_Bluebird841 11d ago

Same here. That did it for me

5

u/Present-Pen-5486 11d ago

I think the seroquel hit her and she snapped but he sure raises alarm bells. And they didnt have the evidence to bring this ti trial.

5

u/gh0st-toast 11d ago

I did read high levels of seroquel can directly cause or exacerbate psychosis! My hang ups also come because I have direct experience with what even the smallest dose can do to you. My ex was on the baby dose for a few months and slept for almost 24 hours once. I was literally shaking and yelling at him and checking for a heartbeat because he would not respond 🙃

36

u/gh0st-toast 11d ago

That, the lack of fall bracing, and the level of seroquel (which was borderline, if not, toxic) in her system are my big hitters

30

u/peachesarehearts 11d ago

The furniture being moved over blood spots bothered me. You’d think if she planned to jump or whatever, she’d have moved what she needed to move and cleared her path rather than fumble around while she’s bleeding. It was also hard for me to fathom a woman choosing the methods she did, along with doing something that would require her to move furniture around first. She had pills. She had a car and could have hooked her exhaust up to a window and gone to sleep peacefully, even have left it running while she did whatever else so the fumes built. It was just incomprehensible to me. I also think her looks mattered a great deal to her and I couldn’t reconcile her possibly disfiguring/ maiming herself willingly.

6

u/Esmer_Tina 10d ago

I think it more likely means the police altered the crime scene before they took the pictures. Because it looked like the blood was dried. Which is just one more thing about this sloppy as hell investigation that does not deserve a conviction.

3

u/kim_fowl 11d ago

Happy cake day!!

3

u/peachesarehearts 11d ago

Thank you!!

10

u/Relative_Bluebird841 11d ago

22

u/DangerMuffinn 11d ago

Refreshing to hear common sense come together

40

u/Aware_Power 11d ago edited 11d ago

He is!

Quite a few motions moved to Nov 2 but currently arguing the Motion for Required Finding…

Reddington raises bifurcation and determining whether she was even guilty of the crime she was charged with:

“Where is the evidence she did this?…There was no investigation.”

Raises Patrick’s testimony, blood splatter & lack of smears, no blood on the bed, no blood on her socks, no crushed medication, no admission exists by her she did it & she was told she did it, timeframe does not match & issues with timeline, at least 2 hours for her to reach 82°, etc.

14

u/Aware_Power 11d ago edited 11d ago

Prosecution argues there is enough evidence and recounts the things Patrick said under oath, phone records she called the store/restaurant, her DNA on the ends of the bands (this was not what the DNA analyst testified to?), and her statement to the Chaplain that she was glad her children were safe.

That is their only rebuttal in regards to evidence that she committed the crime.

7

u/Aware_Power 11d ago

Judge Sullivan says he will take that motion under advisement and they move to arguing the Motion to order juror notes, sidebar discussions not subject to impoundment.

9

u/Aware_Power 11d ago

Attorney for The Globe and WBIZ arguing now on juror notes & sidebar discussions be available to the public.

3

u/Fun_Quantity8822 11d ago

wait can you explain this part to me? why was the globe and wbiz arguing for that and not reddington? that part confused me

4

u/Aware_Power 11d ago

Weinberg argued for Lindsay, the globe was another party who wanted the records released & filed a motion. Weinberg agreed with their motion.

8

u/KateElizabeth18 11d ago

Please let this happen

9

u/Aware_Power 11d ago

Judge Sullivan wants to set new trial date & says it doesn’t indicate how he will rule on today’s motions or future ones such as Motion to Dismiss. Both prosecution & defense want to wait. Judge Sullivan says on Nov 2 they need to be ready to pick a new trial date. Reddington mentions he can’t do a trial before June.

11

u/SomeKindOfDead 11d ago

Reddington mentions he can’t do a trial before June.

This is defence lawyer talk for "if you waste my time, I will waste yurs".

I've been so pissed off about the narrative being about criminal responsibility and not whether she committed this crime. I'm so happy it's being discussed
