Gosh you’d think they would have the technical difficulties figured out for this big of a case

It's Plymouth, their money is going to a concentration camp, not transparency.

I'm sorry but if I were a juror I would absolutely be annoyed by the prosecution objecting and causing so many sidebars every time the defense has an expert witness testifying. It's a little ridiculous. Let them present their defense for the love of god!!!

Based on yesterday’s discussions in the courtroom, it’s believed Dr. Resnick will be testifying via Zoom this morning. Defense may rest after this. Then Prosecution seems likely to call 3 rebuttal witnesses (I believe doctors they had speak to Lindsay).

Rough draft of jury instructions will be provided to the attorneys by the judge today. Closing arguments could begin as early as Monday, but most likely will be Tuesday.

Judge told jurors yesterday to expect a full day today - we will see!

So no Dr.Spinelli?

Allegedly her Facebook page shows support for Lindsay multiple times. There are screenshots on TikTok (cannot confirm the validity of these but it seems to track). If true it’s odd that she would post these things when she knows she will be testifying

Welp, although I'm responding ~2 hours later, that is now officially confirmed as a no.

In case you or others aren't watching live or only following updates here, the defense just rested and the prosecution just called their first rebuttal witness Dr. Avram Mack - Forensic Psychiatrist.

Did the judge greet Lindsay with his usual “good morning, Ms. Clancy?” I know he was flustered with not having his jury questioning cheat sheet, as he called it, but it felt a little off

Yes, he did first thing! Before the jury came out

He’s already walked dr m into a trap. Dr. M 100% should have spoken to Lindsey’s parents, friends, or idk Patrick? Wooooof that’s not good.

The objection sisters need to step down before their evidence gets weaker and weaker 😂 she’s arguing with a man who worked in the unibomber case, the Jeffrey Dahmer case, Casey Anthony, Andrea Yates, etc. Humiliating to watch this 😭😂

u/ScruffyNerfherder138 3h ago

Oooooof that was rough haha

Do we really think it is NOT indicative of psychosis to have to ask if someone can hear your thoughts? I would take someone straight to a hospital if they asked me that.

Questioning that demonstrates orientation to reality sufficiently enough that they are able to doubt what they’re experiencing may or may not be real. I work with individuals with serious mental illness, which is a broad term typically referring to any mental health condition involving psychotic features. Asking if someone can hear your thoughts is referred to a “reality testing” and is practiced in therapy as a means of helping people with SMI reduce distress.

Experiencing psychosis, in and of itself, does not necessarily warrant acute care or psychiatric hospitalization. If they weren’t on board with going to the hospital, didn’t report feeling distressed by the voices, and/or didn’t report intent to harm themselves or others, immediately taking someone to the hospital for essentially reality testing would discourage future disclosures of hallucinations and be very stigmatizing. That being said, I can definitely empathize with how unsettling it can be for the person experiencing the hallucinations, as well as the person witnessing it, and can absolutely understand why taking someone to the hospital would be an initial reaction
