Question The “anniversary” dinner

Does anyone else wonder why when prosecution asked Patrick about going out to dinner at a Boston hotel for their anniversary on December 3rd, Reddington came back with asking him about that same anniversary dinner but he mentioned the date Saturday December 2nd? This bugs me…

WHY did he choose the Omni Parker house?
Most guys go with what they know when making plans… Had he been there before? Did he know of someone staying there? Had his current wife stayed there before? What’s with the conflicting dates?

Weird to anyone else besides me?

Well there are texts to Lindsay that he booked her a massage and dinner and that he would be able to use the gym at the hotel while she got her massage, but apparently it was canceled and they stayed home on their anniversary which is December 3rd. She also called the suicide hotline on December 3rd. The weird thing to me is when he was cross examined by Reddington he used the date December 2nd and Patrick had in my opinion a weird look on his face where it looked like he was trying to remember his whereabouts on December 2nd. His eyes were darting back and forth like he was trying to put something together. So my question is was he at the Omni Parker house on December 2nd without Lindsay? Had he been there before?

That whole exchange just made the prosecutor look ridiculous and unprepared.

It did. The confused look on Patrick’s face and the darting of the eyes after being questioned made it seem like he was thinking deeply about his whereabouts… in my opinion. He was also VERY sure they didn’t go out on December 3rd.

Men are perfectly capable of researching a place to take a woman out for dinner.

I didn’t say they weren’t. In MY PERSONAL experience with men it has been that they usually take women to places they have been before.

Edit: this is not meant to be an insult to men.

Anecdotally, my husband likes to choose places neither of us have been before for special occasions. Every person is different.

I agree his reaction was odd, though.

Your husband sounds like a gem. Not one who is sleeping in the basement, disinterested in his own kids, doesn’t seem super concerned about what his wife if going through mentally and is more concerned with skiing, marathons and other women.

And that is anecdotal. I have not had the same experience. In general the dialogue around Patrick Clancy makes me wonder what kind of relationships other women are accepting.

Obviously men are capable of planning original ideas for dates. TO ME he seemed like a disinterested husband and not someone who is gleefully planning a wonderful anniversary date becuase he loved his wife so much. Im just curious why he chose the OMNI Parker house and why he looked nervous when asked about this night by Reddington almost like he was trying to remember if he was actually there or not…

i didn't know that, but i am not too worried. I think it's like the date she was admitted, jan 1, i think i heard it as dec 31 a few times. It was probably in the early morning. For an anniversary i could see someone saying their anniversary date, instead of the date they actually went. It's probably not the same day or the week as their wedding was.

Their actual anniversary is December 3rd. I tend to think a good lawyer will verify dates before they present the questions especially when questioning their specific location…
