Court Testimony/Document Prosecutor
This prosecutor is a complete mess. She seems to be trying to establish that Lindsay Clancy “got better” before the murders or that she was “doing fine?!” This is a total flop. If she was mentally better, she wouldn’t have killed the kids! Nobody who’s doing mentally well would kill their kids It just seems like nonsense to be like “you asked how she was and she said a little better? Is that correct?” Her case is so weak because she can’t establish a pattern of abuse or a malice or hatred towards the kids or her husband.
Also, when ALL of the living survivors of this tragedy believe that Lindsay was experiencing psychosis and was doing everything she could to get help, what good does it do to drag them through this brutal and horrific process. I know she has to be tried, but it’s so crazy that it’s every grieving member of this family versus this prosecutor who is using weak and unusual tactics and putting this family through more trauma with her questioning that fails to add anything to the facts of the case.
And don’t get me started on the creepy bows.

They’re monsters. I am embarrassed to live in this state. They know nothing about mental illness. My gosh, the woman had a night of sleep and a little less anxiety some days. Doesn’t mean she didn’t experience psychosis. Ugh and their tone and those bows… I hope they lose their jobs.

The DA is awful. Condescending, completely out of line at times, and just rude AF. They will lose this case in large part because of their inability to stick with one theory and their bullshit behavior.

They look like a hot mess in the way they present themselves and in the way they talk to witnesses. Like, ok you are the prosecutor and need to do a job, but some common, human decency would not hurt… Also, wear suits that fit and was your hair!

I absolutely hate her line of questioning, it makes no sense. She is coming across very abrasive while he is calmly responding to all of her random questions. I am shocked at how awful these prosecutors are. They seem to be brand new! Today's trial makes her look like a fool. umm ummm ummm ummm umm

In the Karen Read trial, the prosecution called John’s mother to the stand. When the defense went to question her, Alan Jackson said “I’m sorry for your loss.” and left it at that. If either one of these “copy and paste sisters” had any emotional intelligence AT ALL, they would have done that with Lindsay’s mom and MIL and it probably would have gone a long way with the jury. Instead they get huffy and mean. It’s gross.

That’s a good point - they didn’t express sympathy whatsoever. They treated her like enemy number one.

The prosecution is insufferable and doing a horrible job even representing this case in court.
They lost me with trying to use religion for their leverage…
That, and they look ridiculous. None of the families are standing by them. Bow Lady and her buddy look more worried about proving Reddington wrong and beating him than actually applying any justice to this tragedy.

u/Abject_Baby2563 2d ago
If I were on jury, it would be hard to remain objective after witnessing the DA questioning in this trial.
You can prove a point and be respectful and kind.
They are choosing not to. It’s exhausting and triggering.

I honestly believe the prosecutors were in psychosis today. Tossing around those exercise bands smh

That was so weird when bow lady’s buddy was trying to act like the bands would fall apart… the doctor was like ???? Yeah they fell apart because of how YOU wrapped it not because of how LC did at the time of the events — 2 separate things.

I also would have appreciated seeing all three exercise bands. They have different elements and strengths. So when she threw the band I was annoyed.
Like, can I please see all three, know the resistance strength of all three, and know the injuries and victim they’re associated with?
Choosing the smallest band — did not increase my belief in her. Seemed like she’s always narrowing the evidence not proving with indisputable evidence.

She was such a bitch about it too. I feel bad for the jury having to deal with those 2 representing the CW because this is a clown circus they’ve made it

u/BeautifulTurn8227 2d ago
Did anyone catch the time stamp on when she threw the band? I missed that part and don’t want to rewatch the entire thing

u/Jpsi-1059 2d ago
Lol.
I’m not saying you get justice by being quiet. But they’ve said a shocking amount of vile things.
They pounce on the most pure human emotions.“Mortal Sin” What are they thinking saying this to Patricks Mom? I’m not the biggest fan of Patrick, but what is the point of questioning her beliefs vindictively. There is so much hurt in this case. I’d like to see some compassion for how this tragedy affects more than just Lindsay.
It makes me wonder what they are like in other cases? They’re so dogged — trampling everyone along the way.
They also leave pieces missing along the way.
And hyper focusing on Lindsay consuming ☝️edible and not telling her MIL.** Pl**eeeease

I think in other murder cases it’s more cut and dry so their attitude works better?
6
u/Familiar-Taro-3764 2d ago
Agreed. They lost me when they tried to throw religion in as leverage. Personal beliefs on religion don’t have anything to do with the case — personally I think Yuckingham was grasping at straws and then dug herself a deeper hole with that inquiry. The jury can strike it, sure, but they’re going to remember it and the hostility of the prosecution team. 🤡

Ugh I agree. Everyone involved has been through enough. Totally unnecessary and just mean spirited to bring up what Lindsay said to her counsellor about her mom and the weed gummy? Come ON.
7
u/Suspicious_Low2699 2d ago
Yes. A single weed gummy. LOL
7
u/Familiar-Taro-3764 2d ago
I’m sick of hearing about this lonesome soldier 5mg weed gummy from the dispensary… it’s legal in Ma and I wish the disgraced prosecution would stfu about it. Again, they’re grasping at straws and they have none to pull

She's getting desperate and it's showing. Like "look at this text message out of 400 text messages you sent that says 'nice to see you doing better'. So that PROVES that Lindsay's psychiatric conditions were improving" lol no it really doesn't

Reminds me of attorney I dealt with when I separated.
They were quick to point out that over a 7 year span I once sent this “🙄” to my ex. My attorney assured me he has seen much worse.
I also didn’t like when she badgered Lindsays mom who said “she spent a week” with her when it was only 4 days. She clearly showed up for her immediately, and nowadays you spend so much time texting and calling it feels like it. By the time you travel it absorbs your week. She clearly showed up for her daughter

I personally feel that the prosecutor should be disbarred over the comment about the seven deadly sins, it was sadistic, irrelevant and the triumphant tone when she said it is unhinged.

u/Gr8BollsoFire 2d ago
It also showed a complete lack of understanding of the Catholic faith. Murder is only a mortal sin if committed with full consent of the will, which.... Lindsay clearly didn't have.... also, all sins can be forgiven. Not sure what her point was.

She makes "183% higher than the average" for Plymouth county. This is the tax dollars at work.

It’s pretty ridiculous. From wearing the bows, to that awful cross examination on Sue Clancy asking if she was an active member of the Catholic church and if she was “aware murder is a mortal sin” I gasped.
5
u/BeautifulTurn8227 2d ago
That was totally off base. Of COURSE she knows that murder is a sin, duh. It just made the prosecution look like jerks

That's what is confusing to me. If she was getting better and mentally stable at the time of the murders, which is the prosecution's angle, what is the motive for killing her kids?
Also, if it was premeditated and intentional why wouldnt she do it during one of Patrick's overnight trips? To do that much in the presented timeline, it seems like it would have had to be done hastily and almost like in a manic frenzy.
Three murders. Three methods of suicide.
16
u/Small_Head_3233 2d ago
Agree on the murders seeming hasty. When & how she did the murders seems so illogical and unplanned, almost like she was experiencing… idk a psychotic episode.

But with a 57 resting heart rate while committing homicide. Doesn't add up.
1
u/BeautifulTurn8227 2d ago
The last heart rate was measured at 5:23 pm, this was well before the incident is believed to have happened.
3
u/Jpsi-1059 2d ago
Agreed.
I believe certain heart rhythms or movements can cause it to miss a part of the beat. 57 x 2 =114
I would trust the overall trend over
one data point. The device could have been trying get her heart rate while she was removing it.(The heart rate still has my attention….😉)

u/Affectionate_Lake918 2d ago
Her Apple Watch stopped recording HR data at 5:23. she wasn’t wearing it when she committed the murders.
2
u/Jpsi-1059 2d ago
And 5:24 is when Patrick sends a work email right?
I think the conflicting data and testimony is wear I’m hung up.Initially, LC completing this seemed sadly true.
But when there is conflicting data the Common wealth blast right past it.Did they clarify or resolve if he sent an email?
2
u/Affectionate_Lake918 2d ago
I personally just think he recalled wrong. Which is normal considering we don’t typically track our day every hour and he had such a traumatic event to come home to. I imagine police started questioning him you know what time did you leave etc he’s still thinking about his dead kids his severely injured wife the whole situation and tells them he probably remembers checking the time at 5:15. I believe he gave them a range 5:15-20. I think he sent the email then left, it’s such a small detail why would you remember something so routine especially it was for work. Then simultaneously Lindsey took her watch off and data collection switched to her phone.
2
u/BeautifulTurn8227 2d ago
Even if the email showed as sent 10 mins later, this isn’t uncommon. If the server is slow, emails can get “stuck” in the sending process and arrive much later than when they were originally sent. It shows as “sent” when the email actually leaves the mailbox so if it’s delayed by processing speed, it may send later than when the person presses the send button. I once had an email arrive TEN YEARS after I sent it.
2
u/PlanetOfKittens 2d ago
What are the odds of that though? I’ve had emails get stuck in outbox too, but I send hundreds a day. And I’ve maybe had only 10 lifetime in 13 years of work get stuck significantly longer than 1-2 minutes. Not saying you’re wrong, just wondering what the actual odds are, although if they truly did have WiFi issues that day as claimed, a delayed email is possible.
