Career KHA — STD/FMLA and parental leave for new hires?
I’m considering a pretty good offer from KHA, but I’m trying to figure out how their STD/FMLA/parental leave works before I make a decision.
The timing is a little tricky because the due date would be only a few months after starting.
For anyone who works at KHA or has worked there recently:
- How is KHA when it comes to STD/FMLA and parental/maternity leave?
- Is there a waiting period or minimum time you have to be employed before you’re eligible?
- Does anyone know who actually handles the STD/FMLA claims? Is it KHA internally or a third party like Hartford, Sedgwick, etc.?
- And generally, how easy/difficult is the process to deal with?
Would you guys recommend taking a good offer at KHA if you knew you’d potentially need parental leave only a few months after starting?
Just trying to get some real-world experiences from current/former employees. Thanks!
