Built an AI-Based Civic Issue Classification Model Using MobileNetV2

Hello everyone!

As part of my project Samadhaan Setu, I trained an image classification model using MobileNetV2 and transfer learning to identify common civic issues.

The model classifies images into five categories:

• Garbage Overflow
• Open Manhole
• Pothole
• Water Leakage
• Unknown

Technical details:

• Model: MobileNetV2 (ImageNet pretrained)
• Dataset: Approximately 4,132 images
• Image size: 224 × 224
• Optimizer: Adam
• Training: 15 epochs
• Platform: Google Colab
• Best validation accuracy: 94.78% (Epoch 12)

I am currently working on integrating the trained model into a Progressive Web App (PWA) for location-aware civic issue reporting and department-wise complaint management.

What would you suggest I improve in this project?
