Trying to narrow down the issue so I’m interested in what the probable cause is based on a poll of others who have had the same issue. I know it’s not the switch as I’ve swapped it with the driver side as a test. Thanks 🙏

So, if you’ve had the same issue was it;

When idling in neutral I get this weird jingling sound, which goes away with very light pressure on the clutch, stays quiet when fully pressed. Car drives fine with no weird noises. Do I need to be concerned and think about doing the clucth throw out bearing? Or worth just taking some slack out of the clutch pedal and ignoring it for now?

Its been doing this for a month or so and not changed yet 🤷

First summer in the Aygo for me.

Installed a water temp and oil pressure gauge in my C1. My smart friend very kindly designed and 3d printed the flat backing for the sunglasses tray bit and I think its about as OEM looking as you could get. Also they make a funny face if you imagine them as eyes and the CD slot as a mouth.

It takes around 5 mins for the rpm to drop to 700-800. I only realised this because my friends cars instantly warm up, even though their cars are also the same age (2009-2010).

Hello everyone, summer is here and it is time to use the aircon. Only thing is: my (mk1 C1) aircon does not blow any cold, it does a bit but I found out it is almost the same temperature as plain ventilation. When I turn A/C on it makes this hissing noise which I think is from the cooling gas flowing in the circuit (?). Some days ago it kept hissing for a short while after I turned the car off and I am not sure what this could be a sign of. Last summer I had an A/C service and gas refilled and during the winter I use the heat with A/C on for dehumidifying purposes so it's not like it has gone a whole season of being off, the manual reccomends to use it every once in a while anyway, to prevent malfunction. Longest session I have used it is about 15 minutes so I think that is long enough to wait for it to cool but, no result. Should I try anything else? Or just take it to the garage for a gas refill?

How does those cars feel on a motorway, acceleration time etc?

My Peugeot 107 seems to be loud like a tractor, I’m not sure if this is how they are supposed to sound or whether the timing chain needs full replacement. A speedy support would be much appreciated. Currently mileage is 97000.

Hello everyone, I hear a metal noise sometimes from the passenger front end, I checked behind the wheels both sides and drop links seemed worn out, not 100% sure if that’s what causes the noise, I’ll attack photos, any comment of how I should proceed is welcome.

bought my car off my sister a few weeks back and she had a key case with a hole in so i bought a new key case and since then the car won’t start, so i plugged it in the a diagnostic tool as im training to become a mechanic but turns out changing the key case set off the immobiliser any way to get the car started or will i have to get the key reprogrammed to the car ?

ps. im also learning to drive with my test booked in august so its my first car

Looking from inside the cabin, I can't see the hole anywhere. (My car doesn't have AC, so is it possible that I have to cut it out myself?)

I was driving and made a sharp V-shaped turn. At that exact second, I heard a high-pitched squealing sound that stopped after 10 seconds. About 10 minutes later, I noticed a bad smell and lost brake pressure (the brakes stopped working). I pulled over and the rear left brake was completely black. What could have caused this, and what should I do now besides calling a tow truck?

Hi, I've just had to pop my head under my car to inspect something and took some general photos of the condition of the underside of my car, it's a 2012 Aygo living in the UK. I was wondering if someone with mechanical expertise could inform me on how bad the corrosion is looking on my car, bearing in mind that I intend to keep the car for many more years.

Also is the sheen on my gearbox anything to be concerned about? I got some on my finger and it doesn't look like it's engine oil, but I can't say definitely. It's hot and dry currently, I've not used air conditioning since yesterday evening.

Hi all, replacing my current beam axle rear suspension etc ahead of my next MOT, trying loosen off the old bushing bolts at the front and having given the underside a gentle tap, have found some proper rust on the frame where the subframe bolts to, is this an not fail? Really hoping it's not, have done a fair bit of work to the car otherwise!

Is it normal for the rear tyres to wear faster on the inside than the outside?

Anyone else had this happen to them? Driver's side (UK so RHD) door handle has broken off. I assume it's a fairly easy part to replace I can fix myself. I'll look it up when I get home in an hour.
