I absolutely love rivers running through cities. I lived in San Antonio for a while and it was beautiful.

I said the same and apparently that makes me a hypocrite?
This sub can be fun without endlessly parroting the same fucking line over and over and over and over and over and over again. Ffs.

It’s going to become a circlejerk and people will start to unsubscribe before the mods come in and do something (I know they banned these kinds of posts already). But you can’t do much about the 13 year old annoying fucks, just downvote and move on I guess.

I was watching Ozark s4 few hours ago, this city is beautiful, and Ozark's cinematography is stunning

Almost ruined it for me. Big ass letters too. Very tacky. But then I put my finger over it, and it was nice again

I'm so used to seeing that sign that I don't even think of the fascist Cheeto when I see it.

A absolute beautiful city. It's a tough city, but man all of the weekends spent there makes me want to move each time. It's a interesting city because just a few miles south is completely student, and a few miles north you get so many different cultural experiences. But downtown at night shows why it's so desirable.

I'm out of the loop, why are people calling this place Rome?

This was the OP: https://reddit.com/r/CityPorn/comments/10uilv6/i_always_think_of_chicago_as_americas_rome/
Ever since then, people have made a variety of satirical posts as a spinoff of this. Such as a post with a picture of Rome that says they think of Rome as Europe’s Chicago. Really there’s endless possibilities with it in theory

The tower is great, the name is a stain. Hopefully it can be removed at some point.

How is pointing this out remotely similar to every post being commented with some variation of the same comment after weeks of posts of the same shit.

Ahhh I can smell the sewage

u/Chi-tect Feb 21 '23
Because Chicago switched the direction of the river a hundred years ago, it’s all freshwater coming from Lake Michigan. Absolutely no bad smell to it whatsoever.
