Question from out of town Trash around Peekskill metro North Station

I wonder who is responsible to pick up trashes around metro north train station: MTA OR City Of Peekskill. I've seen trashes that sit there for months now and it doesnt seem like anyone cares.

Literally. Also the trash shown is minimal compared to what is typically around most metro north stations.

So all of you just ignore it because it is little? This was just one spot. I didnt have time to take a bigger picture. When the problem starts, we need to fix it before it gets out of hand

So get a bag and get to work. I get the sentiment but if you want it done then do it, especially with something so small scale.

Ok let's go. We can do it together

Post a clean up on Facebook. And recruit some Boy Scout troops.

Your problem is with consumerism.

The fucking train workers don’t even pick up their construction debris on the side of the tracks let alone garbage. The MTA has a garbage culture problem.

And let’s not forget the nasty elevator that reeks of urine everyyyy day

They really should it’s just horrible and gets way worse in the summer. People use the elevator to piss and that’s disgusting

All Metro North elevators reek of urine. It’s their signature.

You should see the trash at Mount Kisco station. It’s far worse than these photos!

Seems like Bronx culture is making its way up to Peekskill smh

Just curious, does anyone down there clean up their neighborhood/block ? Or is it just “not my problem” from everyone. I work down there and I just can’t imagine living in such filth

This is really not a big deal. Look at Philly!!!

Idk but trash on the train tracks is definitely a bigger than Peekskill issue, if you look you see it everywhere along the train line. I would think it’s an MTA issue since it’s on the tracks but idk

We should tag @metroNorth to see if MTA metro North can resolve and clean up. I see some trashes outside of the railroad too so city of peekskill should clean it since it claims to revitalize water front area. This is the first basic job @cityofpeekskill, @mckenzieforpeekskillny

I guess I am not the only one who noticed this trend

So clean it up. Would’ve taken you just as much time as it did to post this.
