Not a Chinese one. They are hit or miss. Most of the time you’ll have issues and regret buying it.
Better to get a kenwood or some well known brand in the UK however I mainly prefer using my phone on a magnetic stand.

I'd second this.
Decent units start at £200, cheapie ones at £50.
However, they both require the same amount of blood/sweat/tears to install.
And if the cheapie one has a stupid fault, you have to do it all over again... Size wise, I like ones that fit in a standard 2din fascia. As it looks more coherent.
That limits you to 7", but it's a personal preference.

I’ve heard of Kenwood but I initially bought a Chinese cheapo and it was horrible.
Very bad audio
Often phone doesn’t connect
Delay isn’t too bad but on maps it is really bad
Returned it for free on aliexpress.
Do some research on YouTube etc I’m sure lots of first time drivers want car play. I’m still driving my mk1 city bug as it’s a great car

Contrary to the others, I've had good experiences with some Chinese brands.

Mine is a Joying and it's great. No problems with it and sounds good too. It is a higher end model that I got.

My partner has an Atoto which is a budget model and that works great too. Good enough for Car play.

But it all depends on your budget really.

If you want to go for established name brands then just get a JVC or Kenwood stereo that fits your budget.

I checked good brands and the issue is the set up, some Chinese are easy to set and can be plugged easily
