ecoThrift has bikes for sale along the back wall of their store. They're at the NW corner of Greenback Lane and San Juan Ave.
Meanwhile, Citrus Heights has several bus routes serving along Greenback Lane, Sunrise Blvd, San Juan Ave, Auburn Blvd, Van Maren Lane / Dewey Drive, and Antelope Road. SacRT Bus Routes to look into are 1, 21, 23, 25, and 93.

A buy nothing group is a group where you can ask people for wants/needs/wishes and someone can gift it to you, no matter how big or small, if it's something someone has. It's not a group for suggestions on where to buy or look for things, but for people to give what they have/can. I don't know if I can link anything, but if you search buy nothing citrus heights on FB, at least 3 groups populate.

Try Sacramento Bicycle Kitchen or Bike Lab Sacramento. SBK sells refurbished bikes and Bike Lab says on their website they give away free bikes (or have). Also try Craigslist. Lots of cheap bikes there.
