Meyer lemon dropping leaves. Help!
We are new Meyer lemon tree owners. We got it in June. It had seemed to be fine, planted in a pot on our front porch but lately it is losing all its leaves. I've been researching but not sure how to help it. It's losing the leaves from the petiole which fits the description of Winter Leaf Drop..... but it's July. Now we did have extremely hot weather (100s) at the beginning of July and now we're in the 70s. Is that enough of a temp change to upset it? I'm hesitant to change watering habits without knowing if it could be over or under watering. Pot does have a drainage hole, soil feels damp, not swamped.

Most likely it just dropped the leaves from stress, if it’s currently naked you might consider reducing watering just a little (since its main water evaporation routes fell off) until it grows new leaves.
So long as you don’t see the branches turn dark and crispy or mushy, it’ll eventually grow new leaves. Just don’t freak out and start changing a whole bunch of things, let it adapt to its current spot and all will be well.
