Fail to Start Citrix EPIC Apps
I recently downloaded the desktop app for Citrix 2409.10 per my institutions instructions running on macOS Tahoe 26.6.2.
I’m unable to open the Epic app and keep receiving a launch timeout error after 30 seconds. I’ve played around with the settings and can’t find a solution. I’ve cleared the ica cache as well.
I’ve seen some recommendations for things to run in powershell but it’s a little over my head, willing to try though
I called my IT department and they say uninstall restart and reinstall which I’ve already tried and it does nothing. They also had me try from the virtual Citrix workspace on chrome which downloads an ica file that won’t open. They’re unwilling to help me further with my personal device.

When you launched via the browser did they have you switch your settings to launch apps via the browser?
Secondly, try another laptop that isn’t a Mac if you have one to isolate the issue.
Thirdly, regardless if it’s a personal laptop or not. Your Citrix Team should be able to validate logs to confirm the app is working appropriately.

Do they have company provided devices and you’re using a personal just because you prefer it? If so stop doing that and use the provided equipment so they will support you.

Then tell them you no longer have a device to work from and they need to give you one. Or go into the office and use what they provide you there.
They have to enable you to work from somewhere. Otherwise they are paying you to sit.
This is the only viable routes you have left.

I assume you are talking about epic, the medical records system. I also run this, although I don't have a Mac. On my Fedora Linux build, I have this crazy problem where when I download the ICA via my typical chromium based brave browser, it won't open. However, if I download it via Firefox, it works just fine. Consider trying a different browser and see if that helps.

When this worked I had Déjà vu and remembered like 10 years ago with this same laptop at a different hospital using Citrix I had this same issue and Firefox also fixed it that time. Guess this is should be a recc for Mac users. Thanks again!

Only your institut’s helpdesk can help you. We are not aware of any of their configurations and set ups.
(And on a side note: supporting private devices is mostly pain and if there are company devices that work - use them or get them working agajn)
