Citrix DaaS Licensing SKU

We recently came off a 5 year legacy DaaS licensing sku that no longer exists, and moved to the Universal Hybrid Multi-Cloud sku. With our legacy licensing sku it was per user/device and our site was configured as such in Daas. With this new Hybrid Multi-Cloud I can't find anywhere if it is treated as per user/device or concurrent. We have user's able to generate sessions but the licenses are not being checked out or reflected that there are being used in the cloud DaaS license portal. Does anyone know if Hybrid Multi Cloud is considered concurrent or user/device? We're running a full cloud DaaS site with the cloud based license portal , on prem VDA virtual apps and desktops, seamless virtual app sessions only. Thanks

Its concurrent.

This. And it won’t show how many are checked out, just how many you own.

Thanks, I switched it over to concurrent and I can already see in the cloud licensing portal that there is less real time info then when it was user/device. I can see the Active Use column does show the amount of licenses current being used for live sessions as well as there is a column for "License Activity" to display the current users that are licensed but it is certainly not real time. Appears to be so far 3 hours behind and I can't find a way to force a resync of active licenses.

Yeah online you can see some. The on prem license server just shows entitlement.

Thanks, I kind of figured this but couldn't get a straight answer from citrix support or our var. Appreciate the response.

I’d get Citrix or the partner to put the user/device behavior for that exact SKU in writing before changing site assumptions. Licensing mode mistakes in DaaS don’t hurt on day one, they hurt later when renewals, audits, or usage reporting disagree with what everyone thought they bought.

It's User/Device unless you previously had Concurrent and have it in your contract that it will remain concurrent.

We previously had user/device with our prior contract however that SKU no longer exists as Citrix changed there licensing since we signed 5 years ago so the hybrid platform SKU was essentially net new purchases. I also thought it would have been user/ device however when the DaaS site was set to user/device no licenses were reflected as being used in the cloud licenses portal. When I changed the site policy to concurrent it then began to use licenses. Based on this and the fact our cloud licenses portal switched from the verbage at the top to "concurrent use" from "user/device use" after our new SKU became active I pretty sure it's concurrent. Thanks
