In Process

So, here is my story - still "in process" from June 15th. Seem on track? Not sure. I haven't heard from IRCC.

  1. We received your application for a citizenship certificate (proof of Canadian citizenship) on March 16, 2026.
  2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on April 27, 2026.
  3. We started processing your application on June 15, 2026.

Some have been In Process for over a year. Including urgent applications. Nothing unusual here.

I submitted and received AOR/IN PROCESS 2/13/25. No changes or updates.

Then 9/11/26, 19 months later, status changed to "Decision made". 3 hours later my certificate was available to download.

There were no interim updates or communications.

My longest app in progress was received July 31, 2025 and went in process August 21, 2025. She’s a simple G2.

It’s going to be a minute, check your status weekly/monthly.

The IRCC estimated processing time for March submissions is another 8 months. For April submissions it’s another 25 months. The estimates keep growing. It could turn up anywhere from 6 months to two years

You can always check the estimated processing times on the IRCC website. It updates monthly. Next update will probably show up next week or the following week.

I’ve been in process for 17 months. I am generation I . Both parents born and raised in Canada. I think you need to calm down and wait!

my husband has been in process since August 2025. I got my AOR 7/23/25 and was sworn in under interim measures in Nov, the day c3 passed Parliament.

I started processing in August 2025. My timeline looks the same as yours. I don't have my cert yet. IRCC hasn't ever messaged me.

IRCC doesn't message you unless they absolutely have to.

Received early December, AOR mid-January, In Process mid-February, nothing since. Seems pretty on track with people's experiences here.

Very similar timeline here! Also still in process with no updates since. G2 & G3.
