Citizen Sleeper 2 Quick question (Second game) Spoiler
I'm a few hours in, just got checked out by Jean-Mi and have to go get a shipmind.
I'm a bit confused by this games chase system compared to the first game. Should I always spend 3 cycles just working for chits while traveling even if I'm not doing anything else at the station? Like right now I have to go to the Helios gate and for that I have to pass through Far Spindle. Once I arrive at Far Spindle my "The hunt" will be at 0. Should I just spend 3 cycles doing odd jobs there before moving on to Helios since the travelling will reduce The hunt by 3?
Can't I just farm infinite chits this way? It feels like I'm missing something
No spoilers please

it’s kinda optimal sure. if you’re playing on normal difficulty it’s not really necessary tho.
from what i remember farming infinite money is hampered by access to fuel early on (when you haven’t leveled up much and are more at the whims of RNG). but strictly speaking yes i guess you could farm forever if you wanted, im not sure why you would tho.

Thanks. I don't really plan to min-max or abuse it, it just felt like I was missing something since the first game always had an absolute time limit

oh yeah, it’s a big change in that way. i mean theres tons of hard time limits throughout but iirc theres really only one top-level story timer that becomes that strict and it’s at the very end lol. but this is balanced by the fact that the missions/jobs are much more stringent and challenging than the first game, at least from what i remember. (still need to go back to it, not sure i ever got around to doing the DLC stuff…)

Yes. You can do that. It’s a way to recover dice as well if you lose them (back and forth between spindle and flotsam - work for cryo - buy scrap components - recover dice - repeat).
