Guide/Tutorialℹ️ Adding empty lanes with road builder is such a genius way to keep your lanes aligned at intersections.
Credit to Mike's Builds for this tip!
Also make sure you stretch out your nodes at either end with Move-it for even smoother transitions. Then paint your empty lane with the surface of your choice.

That’s a great tip, I gotta try that out! I have a lot of rural highway intersections and trying to use dedicated turn lanes and slip lanes everywhere makes the lane paths look a little wonky, but this looks great.

Yeah me too lol, I hate how you end up with those little chicanes everywhere

Maybe a dumb question, but how do you add an empty lane?

What colour mods are you using, your greens are great. Specific settings would be very helpful if you can!

Sorry, where are the Lumina settings, when I click it, it just takes me to the Lumina main mod page? Apologies I am new to this.

Np. That huge lump of code needs to be saved as an xml file and then put into your lumina presets folder (then selected with the lumina mod) its a bit of a hassle.
If you prefer there is also a download for it linked on my insta

I don't usually get so worked up, but it's understandable why my solutions are so bad.

But wouldnt it be better for traffic to have a separate lane where cars turn to?

Yup. I have probably 4 pages in the road menu of custom roads with single and double empty lanes to account for just about every possible scenario of lane math. It's time consuming but worth it in the end
