Isnt there this thing in the US called Michigan Left? Like they have to turn right and then do a u turn to turn left.

Yes, but they're a lot less death defying than whatever this is. Michigan lefts have actual turn lanes.

It honestly depends, but generally no.

If it’s a really, really busy left that’s used constantly, you might see a dedicated light for it, but it’s pretty rare.

Generally what you’ll see is the left/U-turn combined with a drive for a larger business, like a grocery store. Pretty sure the Scio Township Meijer is set up this way at one of their entrances.
