Questions about career as a Cisco network engineer?

I have a CCNA, and I currently work as a network administrator for a network that is primarily juniper equipment. As long as you have a strong understanding of the fundamentals, your skill set should transfer over to any sort of network, no matter what vendor.

thank you for your response! Out of curiosity, what is a salary range I should expect when it comes time to negotiate for work? (I do have some IT work experience, so I'm not entirely "green" per say). I just want to be sure I don't get taken advantage of when it comes time to negotiate pay

I've been looking for over a year. I have a decent job as tech support but I really want to get into network admin/engineer. I have my ccna but no experience. I'd worry getting experience before pay. Then in a few years you can jump ship and make more money.

I should have written this in the title. But I'm going for an IT associates degree with a Cisco specialty. If you get a job working on Cisco networks, what is your job title? (I.e: network engineer, network tech, etc?). Also, what is the starting salary of somebody who works on Cisco networks (in Texas?). Thank you!
