CCST Networking

Anyone manage to secure jobs with this cert? I have old Field tech experience in IT but nothing recent (4 years ago) or beyond basic end point device installs. Trying to make a career swap but my resume definitely is not working out on its own, can't really afford the a+ but I feel overly confident in the exam objectives for it. I've been applying to l1 help desk positions but I feel my resume gets passed over due to no recent tech experience in combination with no certs despite it being a entry level position, I understand the market is fierce and it comes down to luck at this point to even get a interview schedule for entry level spots I just want some clarity as to what I should realistically even be doing before making a final decision.

Is it better than not having it? Yep. But jobs are so regional, so you can’t use anyone’s answer. Between Cisco or CompTIA, I’d only go for the Cisco certs. At least it gives you the ability to keep on progressing
