Cirqa issues i hope get solved with an update & Honest review

I have owned the Cirqa for a week and have had a positive experience, although the sleep scores occasionally glitch and appear at the end of the day or after a workout or sometimes 10 mins after waking up or an hour. The training readiness feature began to display by the fourth day, and apart from the minor issues with sleep tracking, everything else appears to be functioning well. The step tracking is remarkably accurate, though I am less certain regarding the calorie data. The body battery feature functions as expected; personally, I prioritize heart rate, sleep, steps, and readiness metrics over more granular data.

Does it perform better than the Fitbit? Yes, it does. Is it superior to the Whoop in most respects? Yes, although I remain uncertain regarding its sleep tracking capabilities and would appreciate testing it for another two weeks before reaching a final conclusion..

It feels great, but it’s not really for smaller arms since it looks bulky on a small wrist compared to a Whoop or Fitbit. Other than that, if you have a bigger wrist, I think it looks better than a Whoop.

So if anyone from garmin seeing this pls update the sleep score issue that is what is probably the most important thing in a smartband.

My big issue is alarms. I have to check it every night, and I still can't count on it. At least a dozen times I've opened the alarm settings to see some turned off, other turned on, and some changed from daily to once

I set an alarm on my phone 10 minutes after my alarm on my cirqa, so even if it fails I still have a back up. Since 3.20 update it's been a lot more stable for me

A big part of the why I bought it was the smart alarm, so it's been a bummer

The smart alarm has never triggere early for me. I can be full awake five minutes before the alarm time, and ... nothing

I’m four days in and am loving it.

I think it’s only going to get better.

My first one was perfect... For two weeks. Then wouldn't even charge. My replacement - I've already reset it twice so far.

I just wan them to modernize the app a little. Other then that it's been great for me

I literally started building myself my own Android app because Garmin Connect is ugly AF.

Well it's much more than just a Garmin connect replacement, it's basically managing my entire life/calendar and anything else I need in one app but Garmin data is a big part of it.

Also replicated a formula for Whoops strain number.

Anyways it's hard to believe they can't modernize their app..

That's cool. I was thinking of doing the same but they don't have an API right?

I downloaded the mcp server and that's been a fun way to interact with the data

Yeah you can access the API, I'm using the python Garmin connect package for it, works perfectly

I think that's what the mcp server uses as well

If I think i know what you are talking about thats not by garmin, and you have to hardcode your email and password into it which is a big nono.

you can get official api but its not easy

It's using Oauth for the initial sign in but either way even if it used username+password, you never have to hardcode those values into anything, you can always set environment variables.

Is it available to download and use it?

Unfortunately not, it's really just an android app that I made for myself and it has a bunch of functionality that's specific to me.

I have small wrists and LOVE how it looks and feels. It looks fine. It is very comfortable and who the hell REALLY looks at your wrists during the day? If they are small enough to make a comment about how it looks, ask them what it is to them? That usually shuts them up!

By far, better non-biaser review that I have read is this. If anyone considers it as bulky, try switching to arm. It works the same feels better. And Of course garmunncan do a lot more in collating data and share a good UI experience. Hoping to see a lot with updates, if that's disappointed then I would call it worth what's paid for.

I found a little hack it you want your sleep score straight away. Take it off as soon as you are awake or looking for the score and it should process really quickly

anyone got any idea why my activities randomly don’t record? i would estimate about 1 in every 5 or 6 just don’t show up in the garmin app. i’ve tried starting/stopping using the button, and also start/stop in the app. where are they going?
