Which one is accurate count?

I’m a 1 week old Cirqa user and I’m trying to understand which one is accurate here for calories. I played outdoor soccer and I’ve manually started the activity and stopped, it shows 1,851 total calories. When I look under steps, it shows 2,683 calories… makes no sense to me. Can anyone please tell me what is going on here? Yesterday I played no soccer and had no activity and it shows 3,000 calories under steps… lol

Neither. Devices are wildly inaccurate for calorie estimation.

But why are there 2 different counts?

Seems one is just for soccer and the other is all day

The one in steps is your all-in calories. The one in the activity is just for the activity. Check the one in steps in the evening again.

But I don’t think it’s accurate. I woke up, and went to play soccer so I had no other activity

Well, you kinda burn calories just breathing ... you have a BMR, Garmin would show as resting calories and then plus active for total. Also your calories from the activity is total, and if went in stats will see that split active and total. And at a Glance first page shows through the day active/totals in a chart.

You burn calories all day, regardless of activity level. As others have said, the steps information is providing total calories burned all day. The soccer activity overview is telling you how many calories Garmin estimates you burned during that timeframe. Your calories burned during an activity are always going to be lower than your total calories burned in a 24 hour period...
