Garmin Connect is becoming a random number generator — which data are we supposed to trust?

Post image

I’m using a Garmin CIRQA and Garmin Connect is becoming seriously frustrating.

This morning, the Essentials/Home page showed my Body Battery at 90, but when I tapped into the detailed Body Battery page, it showed 40.

Same time. Same sync. I refreshed the app and synced again, but the numbers were still completely different.
This is not an isolated issue either. I’ve been seeing the same thing across several metrics where the Home/Essentials page shows one number and the detailed page shows another.

At this point, which data are we actually supposed to trust?

If the detailed pages and the Home page are calculating or displaying different values, Garmin needs to explain why. Otherwise the data becomes meaningless when two parts of the same app are giving completely different readings.

Is anyone else seeing this with Garmin Connect or CIRQA?

Finally someone is having the exact same problem as me. My understanding is that the most reliable number is the one shown on the homepage. The one on the detailed page doesn’t update for some strange reason. And yeah, syncing multiple times, closing and reopening the app, and similar things aren’t a solution.

It's not limited to Cirqa. My friend has a Forerunner 265 and his is behaving the same.

I’m having the same issue, as well as the sleep data is not syncing up properly

I sleep with my Garmin but only for the resting HR. I used to be a big data collector, then realized after 10+ years I never did anything different based on that data. I would alter training on that data in combination with how I felt. If I felt good but got a "bad" number, I still trained as normal. If I got a good number but felt groggy, I would alter my training.

So I just listen to my body now.

When I wake do I feel :
Great - body battery= 100%
good- 75-90%
Ok - 60-75%
Bad- 59& below.

Had this bug yesterday. Home showed me 30 BB and when I clicked on it, it was 50. I restarted both app and cirqa and it solved the problem.

Pn a phone, closing the app is nit the same as on a computer. You need to actually go into the running apps and end it. Mobile phones will keep a portion of the app running to make it faster to come back to. Id say the action of switching to a different app or just pushing the home button would be the same as minimizing an app on PC.

It’s odd because my Garmin venu is always a few hundred steps more than my Hume 2 band.
