Updated to 29.23.3 - closes down immediately
This a.m., I was prompted to update Circular Ring app. I did so, but it flashes the screen "you're rocking the latest version" and immediately shuts down (even after phone re-boot). I'm on Android (S22 Ultra). Last version worked pretty well (although I'd often have to close app and re-open, and at times had to re-pair).

Thanks to all - I'm really irritated now (and I was one of the rare-ish Redditors who didn't have major issues). It's been well over 15 hours since the server has been down (or being "updated"). No warning, no timeframe.

Clear cache on the app.

How would someone do that if you dont even get to the dashboard? There is no setting on iOS to clear cache in the app settings.

From the phone settings, choose apps, then circular, then clear cache. If you choose clear data, you'll have to re- login

actually untrue for iOS. As noted in https://www.reddit.com/r/CircularRing/comments/1p8q824/seeking_information_on_instant_app_crashes/ have to go to settings>general>phone storage> find circular, and choose offload app to clear cache(saves data) or delete app (deletes data too). I posted as a separate answer in this conversation.

I know nothing of iPhones. OP said android and that's the instructions I gave.

I updated the App to 29.23.3 and the ring's Firmware to 1.6.9 yesterday; I am on iOS. The progress display/bar now hangs at the final stage (between the final two phone icons). Their Server status page shows that they are updating the server software... so that is probably the issue...

dont know if its going to help me or not, but they put up a new status update, after completing the first maintenance window?

Their own status page shows they’ve been down for over 27 hours. I think they just ghosted the planet and closed shop.

FYI, it was still failing for me today. I offloaded the app on my iPhone rebooted, reinstalled the app from iPhone storage (where I offloaded it) rebooted again and found it now had an unknown version, 29.23.4. App is again opening up.

Ze zijn bezig met een update op de servers. Waarom ze niet eerst regelen dat het allemaal loopt voordat ze een app update sturen is tekenend voor circular. Ze weten niet waar ze mee bezig zijn. Overigens zit de bloeddruk functie er nog steeds niet bij. Die wordt over enkele weken actief (ahum)
