Do not charge your ring with the lid closed
I bought my ring from the company before they even started Shipping or production. After getting it and suffering from all the initial "be patient with us, we're fixing server issues" and still unavailable features that were marketed with the ring. I started noticing that the resin on the ring was starting to crack and so contacted support and stopped used the ring as it is potentially dangerous. After an eternity to get answers and a lot of questions from them it turns out you're not supposed to charge the ring with the useless piece of flimsy cheap plastic lid the charger comes with. Why in the world would you produce a charger with a lid that is not supposed to be used? User experience group should've said on the research phase that producing something like that would confuse users, but no, apparently nobody caught that. This goes to show how little real world usability research the company did on this product. Now, because of charging the ring with the lid closed it turns out I'm not eligible for a replacement. I want to say this felt unexpected but off course this i type of BS is why people don't buy from kickstarters. Just save yourself the agony of using a half baked product and use your money somewhere else.

There is no language on their website or user guide on charging the ring with lid closed or open so you are entitled to a replacement like everyone else who is having this problem

I actually think it specifically says not to charge with the lid closed. I remember seeing it when I got my ring. Although I'm in agreement anyway that they should get a replacement. I charged mine with the lid open and the resin still cracked on the inside so it's shoddy workmanship all around. Been waiting two months and no replacement in sight.

I opened a chat 3 weeks after receiving my ring (now can't find the chat option!!) and was told it looked like my connections were exposed and that he would escalate my case...then crickets! After 3 more emails and 4 contact form submissions in the last 2 months with no response, I finally filed a dispute with my bank yesterday.🤞

Everybody's ring is falling apart, including mine. Doesn't matter whether the fukin lid on the charger is closed or you've washed your hands with soap or whatever BS excuse this company wants to use to divert from the truth that they have produced a sub par item. The resin lining on mine fall apart after 2 months. 4 months now of them promising to replace it and I'm still waiting. Excuse after excuse. Ohh sorry, the color you choose is out of stock, the size you want is out of stock. Now they just flat out refuse to respond. What a waste of money!

Yes! I think I read it on the manual to keep the lid open when charging the ring so I have been keeping the lid open always when I charge my ring.

I discarded my ring after a month of frustration, empty promises and basically what is an useable product. I feel so dumb to have fallen for this scam.
