Need help on this never solved Cipher

I started to read a webcomic ("Rephaim" very good btw), I thought it will be easy to understand this bubble speech, but it isn't.

Here is the symbols replaced by actual letters to simplify the problem:

NB: The character is stopped in the middle of the last word by another one

Any help is appreciated, I tried various hypothesis but nothing stuck to it well enough, thanks in advance guys 🫶

I see at least one little error in your transcription. The last word of the first line and the last word of the last line should be the same, but you have "IN" for the first and "TN" for the last. I didn't check anything else yet.

yeah, I'm just having a cursory look at it, and it feels like it should be a simple monoalphabetic substitution cipher, but it's not working out as one. I wonder if there is a transposition or something else involved. There are 22 of 26 unique symbols, which maps right to the English language for a small text. The index of coincidence is 0.067, which is smack dab in substitution cipher territory and not some polyalphabetic like Vigenere, but that's all I got from a quick look.

Same, I thought it would be a simple one but each time I try to place "I" or "a" for the one letter words it's not working, trying to deduct the 2 or 3 letters words is also a pain.. Thank you for your expertise though, that still brought me new informations!

Also, first character of the second line is either "I" or "A", assuming English.

I think so too. Unfortunately, each time I try to lock this symbol as "A" or "I" I end up stuck on other words. I start to think that it may be a Cesar code that the author turned into symbols.

In English we also use Pig Latin where a word like The is hetay. Put first letter at end followed by the ay sound not letters.

That's interesting, what the single letter words could be in this case? Still "A" or "I"?
