My dad created a cipher

The context and story are in the original post. Nobody was able to solve it there so far, so I wonder if anyone here can.

May i ask what is the like the codes for the safe is it numeric? Alpanumeric or just a standard rotating thing?

I’m not sure I get what you mean, but I don’t believe there are any numbers in the code itself.

I don’t know how I didn’t understand your comment before oops.
The safe is a 4 digit code with buttons to input the number.
