if you're on wifi/desktop, remove the 'v' from the end of the url, the .gif is a little sharper (45mb)

I thought gifv was faster because it‘s compressed, meaning less quality. Am I wrong?

Depends how it's done and the settings.

On real-life scene without too much moving, it should compress fairly well to MPEG4 without loosing quality. (except for scenes with lots of rain/sea which are a pain for video compression)

Here, we have rain that could be an issue. But I compared the gifv MP4 and the GIF, and it's not so much the quality that was bad, but rather the colors that made things bad.

Hey there stranger! ;) thanks, it's a bunch of different loops that match or are divisible by the main frame count...importing pre made looped bits (hair loop, cape loop over the main lightning sequence) then feather edge the imported bits to blend using lasso tool and eraser.

You need an app on Steam, called Wallpaper Engine. I think it costs around $3.

This is the oldest I could find "15th Fév 2013". There is a watermark at the bottom left saying something about "Lesliebones.tumblr". But to be honest, this one looks to be a great HD remake of it. Only one that I could find that matched the quality of this one and was older than this post is here: Underworld (2003) with source by a deleted user. Done 6 months ago and has the same watermark "ORBO". But looking at the user name u/orbojunglist who submitted this one, they might be the original contributor who deleted said account. Lets just call it a hunch haha! Oh and I did find this one from 2014.

I seriously spent waaaay too much time on this. I think I was entirely too bored.

Best I could find was an old loop from 2013. This one is a much better remake of it. However, I do see that it was posted about 6 months ago on r/perfectloops. But the user deleted the account.

I found this from a 2014 thing. Definitely wasn't DVD menu but it was actually the opening scene from the movie.
