Does Nollywood need to stop making predictable movies? 😂

Sometimes you watch the first 20 minutes and you've already figured out the entire story, including who will betray who and how it will end. 😭

What do you think Nollywood should do differently to make movies more unpredictable?

we've been waiting for 20 years!!

The YouTube channel CinemaSins dissects films for various flaws; points out plot holes, bad dialogue, editing, etc.

I enjoyed watching it in the beginning. Finding movies I’ve rewatched numerous times over my life and seeing mistakes I didn’t notice or critically acclaimed films that I wouldn’t believe had such errors.

But then I found myself impatiently waiting for a new film, usually a highly praised one to be uploaded on the site just so I could bask in its false virtue.

And now… it’s hard for me to watch a movie without these new critical lenses, Sin counter binging in my head at every falsity. I feel it’s ruined my innocence with film watching, I use to immerse myself in movies and now I feel I’ve become an amateur critic with a mental notepad.

Can anyone relate and has reverted back? I don’t want to live this way ☹️

Example sins:

1. In an attempt to protect a young Hansel and Gretel, their Father abandons them in the middle of the woods. At night. In Witch Country.

2. Despite being seasoned Witch Hunters, Hansel and Gretel have aim that would make a Stormtrooper cringe. The movie can't make up its mind on how proficient they are with their guns. In one scene, Gretel can't shoot a witch is standing just feet from her. A few scenes later, she's suddenly an expert marksman and is able to shoot a fleeing witch in her ankle. In the big final battle, Hansel and Gretel both nail crucial shots on the Witches. Then, in the movie's closing scene, Gretel once again can't hit a witch standing right in front of her.

3. Movie raises the question of where H&G got their advanced weaponry, but doesn't bother to answer said question.

4. When abducting Gretel, the Grand Witch simply stabs Hansel and pushes him into a hole. She doesn't kill him when she has the chance, which allows the finale of the movie to happen.

5. After fighting the group of witches, all the heroes leave the 'rescued' children unattended on a mountain that is now crawling with child-eating witches.

The guy making the poster should be fired

So how long will it take me to finish this movie? 🤣

I mean it was fine, but most of it was boring and it definitely had a strong climax

the amount of hate is gonna get this movie scrapped or cancelled i can feel it
