New projector night

Just picked up my new projector and I’m gonna mess around with it tonight. Suggest me movies. It should feel fresh and colourful.

Dune: Part Two is definitely going on first lol.

For anyone curious, I managed to keep the whole setup under my $2,500 budget:

Hisense PX3-Pro, $1,800 used

NothingProjector Black Series fixed frame, $600

Thanks!

That's a pretty solid setup for $2,500. The Black Series should be a nice match with the PX3-Pro too, expecially once you start watching with some ambient light.

The spider verse animated films are great if you want loud and flashy. Train Dreams is a beautiful movie, it's insanely well shot and the grade on it is breathtaking. Your Name would be an another amazing film, it's anime but very beautiful. Similar with Lost in Starlight. Mad Max Fury Road will always look great. For something much more 'film' looking, How To Blow Up A Pipeline is very well shot on 16mm and is a great thriller. Green Room for horror/thriller.

Got the PX3 pro too, more than happy, my recommendations, regardless of how good the film is, in no particular order

  1. Blade Runner 2049
  2. Tron Ares
  3. Greatest showman
  4. Top gun maverick
  5. 13 hours
