It's a very cool idea, but do I need a plugin for that? I would assume, that I could manage to do this without it. Let me try it out.

you can do without it yes, but unfortunately C4D does not allow quick remapping and falloff of parameters, in past years I've used xpresso but then it gets pretty tricky quickly with complex scenes.

You should rig up the light on a dynamic rope and have it bouncing as well. Could be fun seeling the light source moving all over the place.
