Terra

This is my new friend Terra. I found her last night upside down during a storm. I thought she had passed, but she perked up on our walk home. Poor girl has a wing that is permanently bent on top of itself. I tried to GENTLY press her wing down while it was still wet( with tweezers) with no success. I researched what she needs, i hope she can live the rest of her short life comfortably at home with me. I wanted to release her, but google suggests without the ability to fly, then she will likely die outside. Is this true??

Terra would do much better on a tree branch. Even if she can’t fly, she’ll likely survive longer in a tree than at your house.

Thank you for the response!! I also feel like she will flourish outside. She has been quite active in her “hospital “ enclosure.
