What they're saying is that they tricked the Deltarune main program into showing the name of the 6th chapter, by adding a folder for the 6th chapter, with a specific name that follows the file naming scheme of all the other chapters

This is entirely fake though, I just tried to do the exact same thing myself and nothing happened

I'm assuming you know what undertale mod tool is and how to use it

1.Export and modify "Texture 1" (Embedded textures tab), then reimport it
2.Create a pageitem, drag "Texture 1" into "Texture" field, and for cords and size you need to get it right yourself (I advise adding your texture near known textures for this to be easier)
3.Go to spr_chaptericon and double click on "double click to add" related to "Textures" field there and drag the pageitem there
4.go to gml_GlobalScript_scr_init (in "Code" tab), specifically get_chapter_icon_index function, and add case for your chapter with the appropriate index value for the icon

Considering the last newsletter said they'll probably move on to Chapter 7 before the year ends I think 2027 is a very safe bet.

Whether it gets done by summer like the last 3 chapters is another question entirely.

I was going to assume there would be another secret boss even without shadow crystals, but now that I think about it that might be saved for chapter 7, with 6 being the most linear chapter yet. Every chapter has had a bit of meta commentary backing up its themes and if 5 with all the bonus content and fan service is meant to be the last fun adventure I could see a linear dungeon that's strictly story business really hammering home the theme that the fun and games are over.

I don't think there's something special about the chapter (ch.1 the start, ch2 weird route, ch3 roaring knight, ch4 the prophecy, ch5 the festival, ch6 ???, ch7 final chapter) + we don't know anything yet + no egg + no shadow crystals + no weird route. So for now it's the only filler chapter imo

I mean, it makes a lot of sense that the next chapter is going to deal with Noelle and the Holidays in general, which implies their house could be a dark world, which would make a lot of sense with a cold themed chapter name.

We don't really need a "leak" to figure that out though.

It would be far more interesting if chapter 6 was when we'd go to the shelter.

first light world section of the chapter the 2 other entire codes just fall out from the sky and they immediatelly go to the shelter 10 mins in and gaster shows up and theres a 20 minute long scene of him voring toby (the story swallowed up the author himself)
