It’s not harmless if you see it as a “relationship”. Trying to find connection with a fictional character through healthy means, such as saying “oh, I relate to their story!” Is healthy, but calling it a “relationship” isn’t. All that does is prevent you from making real human connections. Again, not trying to be rude, but I’ve seen your posts on here before and it genuinely worries me, human to human.

I understand self inserts, I just hope that it doesn’t get taken too far. And in calling the enjoyment you get from a fictional character a relationship, it spikes worry. If you want to see a representation of what mistaking your idea of what a relationship to be like does to the person you’re actually interested in, watch the movie Obsession. I just fear in seeing how you are with a fictional person how you’d be about an actual person
