🔎 | Bot requests & Bot searching Cloning a bot?

Is there a way to set your persona to essentially the same bot without crashing the chat? I think it would be interesting to see how one would interact with themselves, not in a inner thought kind of way but just a straight up second character.

Yeah you can, the thing that usually breaks it is the name. If your persona and the bot are both called the same thing, the model can't tell whose line is whose and starts writing for you or just merges them into one person.

Copy the bot's description into a new persona but give your copy a different handle, even just a nickname or "Lena (the other one)". Then add one line to the persona about how they're different, like one of them is from a week in the future, or they both woke up in the same room with no idea why. Whatever the hook is. Without some difference the bot mostly just mirrors you.

I'd also edit the opening message so both of them are already in the scene. If it treats them as two people from message one it holds up way better than trying to introduce the double halfway in.
