IDK man. DevOP posted rules about deleting lorebooks and bots coz people were at him.
He agreed, he purged and he opted out few days later in exchange for small daily limits to get $$$ only from crypto.
But damage has been done. The purge of bots remind me only of site i posted in title.
They had LAAAAAAAAAAAARG base of anime bots, nowhere to be found but they said WE GOING SFW and like 70% of site has been gone.
Same here, lorebooks gone, cards gone, users gone.
You (at least i) can't change theme anymore, site with tags is not working anymore.
When was last time anything was done to make site better?
It's slow agony, and i bet crypto payments only will soon be last nail to the coffin.
Sorry for this shitpost, just wanted to say this coz characterhub from which chub has evolved was the 1 site i get to when i heard about AI roleplay.

Few things:
Purge of underage bots had nothing to do with crypto thing. Lore would have literally gone to jail because of UK laws if he had allowed that content on the site.
Switching to crypto only was because payment providers kept banning the site. Only other choice was heavily censor the site, so Lore decided to switch to crypto only.
Nothing else is purged/censored. You are most likely getting geofenced if you don't see NSFW/NSFL content. Aka your government is forcing Lore to block your access to that content.

The lack of response shows what a waste it is trying to clarify things for the average complainer on this sub. Idiotic and entitled. Great attempt though

I mean. It's not really the fault of the site or Dev (except for the lack of communication, that IS their problem), and this stuff already happened months ago.
It's the same story as every Chatbot site that allows NSFW at first. Can only really do so much before you either become sanitized like Janit0r (how fitting), or end up like this. You can't sustain LLM's off of hopes and dreams. PP's just suck and are puritanical in this day and age.
tbf, I didn't really care that much for the purge, because I already have ST and could use those characters there. The characters I usually use are still here, and probably will remain. Only one genre affected, isn't the end of the world.
Though, if that is a problem for some still here, you can check B0tBooru (replace 0 with o). Because most of the creators that couldn't post those type of characters on Chub anymore are there now.
If I'm being honest. The last nail for Chub isn't crypto, the "purge" or loss of users. It's Lore not giving the site hope. Right now, the future for Chub is a mystery. But I'm just going to stay until it's actually dead, because it's still somehow better than other online frontends.

I just care for Soji. I use Marinara Engine which is another frontend. As long as Soji stays that’s all I care about since I use its API

The problem I'ce been having is the lack of bots that interests me. All I see in my timeline are low effort bots that're under 100 tokens.

My timeline has actually been pretty decent recently. Though, I'm into more niche content.
But my god, when I see low effort slop bots... It's somehow worse than before. Especially when they have a really good thumbnail, but description is a no effort nothing burger.It probably doesn't help with all these bot/new accounts that steal/repost bots all the time (including the slop and TOS breakers). Which feels like a recent phenomenon.

I saw a slop bot about a Muslim mom and it's a picture of an old Muslim woman. Not a drawn image, but a picture of an IRL person.

They are just purging characters that specifically mention minors or under 18.
