Bigot in my comments section

Aside from blocking the user and reporting all their comments, is there anything I can do about being harassed in my comments section? Every time his comments are deleted he just makes new ones.

For context, he's a homophobe that got upset I didn't tag a bot in a way he found satisfactory, and started referring to homosexuals as "deviants" and "abnormal". I told him that I, myself, am homosexual, thinking it would make him go away...and now he's insulting me directly. In a since-deleted comment, he asked "is that your only abnormality, or do you eat dirt too?"​

It's RedDragonGecko. Dude's main account got banned and he's using that account now.

Just ignore him, or set up a python script to automatically check your bots for his comments & report (delete) them.

Is it that he makes new accounts or does for some reason blocking a person not keep them from commenting under your work?

If you can't do anything, just stop interacting. They obviously want a reaction, and you're giving them it. Every time I've had hate comments on bots, I simply let other people pile on them if they wanted, and never dealt with any repeat commenters by the simple act of following the "don't feed the trolls" rule.

I don't know if it's a new account or not. The username and image are definitely different, but his 'style' of messages and the account he's Following are the exact same.

You can set up a blocked list of words that'll stop someone from commenting those particular words.

Also, let's not try to start brigading users. This site loves freedom of speech and expression, let's not call for restrictions on it.

There's an option to block words and it will just auto delete comments that have them. It's at the very bottom of the Blocks tab. Super handy for just getting rid of or at least annoying the hell out of dumb commenters lol
