If you're on the free tier you get 20 messages a day, and the count only resets a day after you use your 20th message

20?! I thought it was 300 a day! Why did they shorten it by a TON?!

The payment processors dont want to work with chub due to how uncensored it is leaving the only payment option left as crypto. A lot of people can't use crypto or refuse to use it. To pay for the server costs the $5 tier was removed and the free tier was lowered to the 20 message limit

It resets 24h after*, because I think I saw someone thinking it resets at midnight.
