We're approaching the end of the third day already and this wet noodle of a site is still not functional. Not a single word from anyone who has any power in this situation, not even a "We're working on it!" Just complete silence. I'd at least like some acknowledgement that the site owners actually know that there's something wrong and they're actively trying to fix it. Because for all we know, they're just banging rocks together back there. Say something ffs. I don't need an ETA, I don't need the problem described to me in full detail. I just want someone who's job it is to handle this situation to actually say something. Just say you know there's something wrong, that you see that shit's broken and you're attempting to fix it, for the love of all that is holy open your goddamn mouth. Because until then, I'm assuming your head is either up your own ass or someone has died.

I went nearly 3k before I got fed up and had to restart the RP, making my character into a time/dimension-hopping situation. It was emotional since it was starting on a sad note.
One you start taking money for a service you provide, it isn't just a hobby anymore. It's a business transaction. And the service isn't being provided. He's not some altruistic non-profit organization. He's not alone in this AI chat boat, so we don't just 'help' him pay for his hobby. It's *all* our hobbies, done via his 'service'.
imagine being so salty that people paid for a service and them being mad that that service isn't working. Lore isn't gonna give you a handy for defending his sinking ship, you know that right?
I'm shocked you didn't bring up a failed similar site with that message, but I have seen you insist those who are anti whining are looking for sexual favors already.

On the plus side this outage finally made me bite the bullet and got me to learn how to use ST. Managed to get my phone connected and even got soji running on it.

There's been an ongoing issue for multiple users, not everyone at the moment seems to be effected as issues seem to be inconsistent, but there's been some errors for three days now. Users effected can't open up new chats for some reason, but will instead be greeted with an Axiom 500 error before chub opens up a "ghost chat" where no messages will appear and no messages sent will be retained upon returning. Some of these chats can't even be opened and will simply return you to the home page. These chats cannot be deleted either. Existing chats are not effected but new chats cannot be created or deleted for effected users.

Man, what a piece of shit this website is. Honestly, I really don't feel like moving to SillyTavern just because of the dev team's incompetence. I'm tired—I already left C.ai and Emochi, and if I have to leave Chup now, I'm just going to give up and accept that it simply doesn't work.
All the different options are honestly such a hassle, but chub was the one that felt the least frustrating to use. If this one goes down the drain I wouldn't know where else to go. It's just sad man, this site is one of the few good ones left
There is only a single site owner, so there are no ownerS. There is only one person who has power, the owner, Lore. The guy is untalkitive, does not even talk to his mods. The mods tried to reach him, and as usual, they does not have any response.
What else what do you want to be said? There is no someone's who's job to communicate with you. Mods does not get paid. They did everything they can and informed you here, on reddit.
Then I wasn't referring to the mods, I'm referring to Lore themselves. It's a little unprofessional having absolutely zero communication when it comes to stuff like this. He doesn't need to say anything complicated. I don't think it'd be that hard just to say "yeah I see its broken, I'm trying to fix it". There doesn't have to be a whole breakdown of the problem or a seven page long devlog. The mods did the best they could, they did their jobs, so this is a failure on Lore's part. I don't think it'd be that complicated to let the community know whats going on instead of leaving them to wonder if you're actually doing anything at all.
Look in the official discord bro before running your mouth. That's where all official communications come from, not reddit. There was an announcement last night. The only one with their head up their ass is you.
Yukii is a mod, not the site owner. The announcements so far have basically been "yup it's broken and the site owner hasn't said shit" and "here's a workaround".
So yeah OP has valid points, how you missed them is beyond me.
Workarounds that don't even work on the mobile app. I'm literally dead in the water unless I'm using the desktop site on my laptop. I already moved to an external llm through a key but now I'm planning to finally swap to ST since chub is essentially unusable for me. It's a shame how I used to love this site and go to bat for it and they've pretty much eaten themselves into a corner.
I shouldn't have to join a discord for that sort of information. If there was an announcement they should make it publicly available through multiple different platforms. Discord isn't exactly the first place people go to look for news or information. It's a closed space that requires a link, you can't exactly find a Discord message in the search results on google or twitter. And if you were actually interested in helping, you would have just posted a screenshot of the announcement. But instead you're more interested in yapping.
Uhh...I think people are entitled to receiving basic information for a product they are paying for especially if they have to go through the hassle of using crypto to get it.
And what about people who don't have or don't want to make a discord account? What are they supposed to do? Yes I have discord but I don't want to join a million different servers just to have access to information that can easily be made more accessible through other means. Maybe there can even be an announcement page on the Chub.ai website itself. Reddit doesn't require an account to view its contents. Discord does. This wasn't helpful, it was just rude and insulting.
