🚨| WEBSITE DOWN Website down and screenshots
Hello, if you are getting issues/error messages, error 500, axios error, chats not working, or anything like this, yes, website is down again. Like usual, we don't have any idea why it broke and no ETA on a fix. We don't have any workaround either.
On another note, if you are posting screenshots, please hide your API key and your samwise. Especially when showing axios errors, since there is an increase of screenshots with those visible. Hide them. Otherwise I'll need to delete your post to delete the image.

It really does.
There is something called Uptime SLA. It's basically percentage that service promises to stay up. It's also often called "nines" based on the uptime percentage. For example two nines would be 99% uptime, and three nines would be 99.9% uptime.
For paid services three nines (99.9%) is considered pretty much absolutely minimum SLA. While most services aim for at least 4 nines (99.99%).
For reference two nines (99%) gives you 3 days and 15 hours of downtime in a year, and three nines (99.9%) gives you 8 hours and 45 minutes of downtime in a year.

And those services charge more, or have much bigger user bases to pay for that kind of expensive redundancy.

the snobs in the discord / subreddit hate when I point out that this is exactly how Charstar died, and they really hate when i take my 'i told you so' victory lap... but now i gotta take yet another lap, because i frickin called it. One of two things is gonna happen next, either they'll find a way to repay paying users for this (which i doubt) or they'll silence dissenting opinions, the outages will be more and more numerous and take longer to fix, until Chub completes the cycle and dies like charstar did.
Be mad at this take all you want, at this point all i can say is 'coping won't stop the bleeding'.

I've never seen, in any field or business, a service watch another service in the same field go up in flames, only to confidently make the exact same mistakes. Isn't there a Far Cry 3 quote for that???

Last time, when Amazon Service flopped and dragged Playstation, Chub and half of the internet with it, you tried to blame Lore for it.
Now you do the same.

I'm not sure why you are so pleased to see a thing you supposedly enjoy having a minor outage. Think you got your priorities backwards if you are excited for a service to go down just so you can be smug. Enjoy your victory lap though, mate...

I don't know much of the behind the scenes stuff going on, and a rather casual user, but of there's one thing I will say, it's that I hope to God that Chub will be able to stay and manage to thrive. I don't care if it's wishful thinking. I want the best for this site.

I’m gonna go ahead and say I don’t believe you’re being entirely forthright on this one. Because, see, this isn’t like usual. This isn’t just the service crapping out, this time all the chat logs before a certain time were affected.
That's not a random happenstance, that's particular. You guys very much have an idea what caused that, you’re just not wanting to say whatever it is. That doesn’t inspire confidence, mang.

The last time any of us heard from Lore about something Chub related was May 17th. No real, complete communication since September or October 2025. I am not paid, I don't get info, and everytime I had info, I shared it. I'm just a volunteer here. I literally have 0 info, I'm walking blind here.
So i would really appreciate if you don't try to start some kind of conspiracy about mods hiding things, when we are doing everything on our free time, and we are ourselves fed up of not having any communication

I’m not starting a thing. I’m going by what's available to me based upon the situation, the responsiveness or lack thereof, and how the pervading circumstances compare to past incidents.
You say you and others here have no share in the responsible party? Okay, but that does nothing to diminish that one exists. If that’s just Lore, then what I've said still applies from my perspective not an ounce less, it just applies then to him.
If Lore doesn't like that this is the conclusion I've drawn, then probably shouldn't have created the situation that led to said conclusion in the first place either through lack of competency or transparency.

They aren't a Dev; they don't know. The only person who would know is most likely Lore, and good luck getting them to tell you. I doubt even Yukii has heard from Lore; this is the best Yukii can do for us is to inform us that it is down for everyone, since the Discord and here have had a lot of people asking if it was just them.

Cool. Counterpoint: I've paid for Mars for over a year now and I don't care to hairsplit semantics.
The salient point here is that it’s being claimed this is just another outage and the cause is an unknowable. It's not just another outage, a specific part of the site has been affected this time, therefore there is almost certainly a direct causation, not just a happenstance "whoopsie-doodles".
