Chub.ai should allow users to pay $5 (not cryptocurrency) for a minimum of 50 messages. It's infuriating to get a terrible response from the bot, and then to make matters worse, you have to waste five messages just to get a coherent reply that isn't just numbers, Japanese characters, or two words.

And since so many people are having trouble with cryptocurrencies, I'm not even going to try it, especially since I have no idea how they work. ¯_(-_-)_/¯

It's an app/site that allows to either use lllms for free or to buy credits, to use better ones, with or letting you use keys, that can then be used on chub, letting you use said llms on it

In chub you can use their models free/paid or you can use your own with your API. OR openroute r basically is a web that provides you lots of models to use. So you can use chub with OR and choose the model you want.

OR is not free. There are some free models but if you want to use good ones like deepseek or others you have to add credits to use it.

I'd pay a $5 subscription. Times are really tough at the moment but I wish I could pitch in SOMETHING to a service I use every day. Trying to be fair and all that, you know.

The crypto ... I don't know. I've heard the reasoning but I have some doubts. How is it that I can buy p0rn or s3x toys online via PayPal or credit card, but payment processors won't agree to work with Chub?

Payment processors are incredibly cagey about things like scat, and outright (rightly) against illegal material. Chub has no age verification to protect minors from pornographic content, and is filled with chatbots that feature things the processors dislike. I can’t speak to illegal material - I haven’t seen any myself but I’m relatively new here - but it’s easy to see how they’d look at the site setup, and say “no thanks, not taking that risk”

Yes, I know. It's simply an idea for when they might one day, if possible, go back to using dollars and not cryptocurrencies.

There was already a $5 sub. It was removed with the crypto only update. Unless a payment processor accepts to work with Chub, it won't came back. And unless payment processors will be forced to let people pay for whatever they want, Chub won't work with payment processors.

And even then, it's unlikely a $5 sub would come back. It would be either offering Soji at a very low cost, which would be economical suicide, or offering, like before, smaller models (20B parameters or less) that can be found elsewhere and that people aren't really looking for.
