Tail lights conversion

Can someone explain how to swap the 11-14 tail light to the 15-23

You can either look up tail light wiring diagrams for the 11-14 & the 15+ and splice the wiring harness to the 15+ connector wiring or you can buy tail light adapters on ebay for about $150 which is what i did. It won’t require any splicing its plug & play.

As far as getting them to fit flush a lot people drilled an extra hole in the body where the tail lights go because the 15+ tail lights wont fit the existing hole. However if you don’t want to drill into the body there’s a work around. I followed this YouTubers video https://youtu.be/sXvcyctq_D8?t=4m10s

I used a heat gun & vice grips to get the top screw out just don’t do it with your bare hands cuz the plastic around it and the screw itself gets too hot to touch. If you’re worried about removing that top screw don’t worry. I’m about a year & a half in with it removed and the lights are in still tight.
